CHAPTER 2 â THE FIRST DESTINY
The morning after Maya, Zara and Nina left the shrine, everything looked normal.
The three friends went back to their ordinary lives.
But something had changed.
They could feel it.
Each woman had a strange mark on her palmâa small dark symbol that hadnât been there before they entered the shrine.
They tried to ignore it.
Until Maya met him.
His name was Kelvin.
He was wealthy, confident and the kind of man who was used to getting whatever he wanted.
Kelvin approached Maya at a restaurant and immediately started showering her with attention.
He bought her expensive gifts.
He sent money to her account.
He promised to take care of her.
Maya remembered the babalawoâs warning.
But instead of being afraid, she smiled.
She knew exactly what she had come to do.
Days later, Kelvin invited Maya to spend the night with him.
And Maya accepted.
The next morning, Kelvin woke up feeling strangely weak.
Before noon, his phone started ringing.
His business partner had withdrawn from their biggest deal.
Then his bank called.
Then another client cancelled.
Within hours, everything began falling apart.
Kelvin couldnât understand what was happening.
But Mayaâs life was changing in the opposite direction.
Money began entering her account.
Opportunities appeared from nowhere.
Things she had struggled to afford suddenly became easy.
She immediately called Zara and Nina.
They didnât need to ask what had happened.
They already knew.

The three friends celebrated.
For the first time in their lives, they felt powerful.
They believed they had finally found a way to make men pay.
But then something happened that none of them expected.
Kelvin called Maya.
His voice was shaking.
He told her that his company was almost finished.
He had lost millions in one day.
Maya remained silent.
Then Kelvin said something that made her blood run cold.
âEver since I met you, everything good in my life has been disappearing.â
Maya ended the call.
That night, she couldnât sleep.
She stared at the mark on her palm.
It was glowing.
Then her phone suddenly received another alert.

Maya sat up in shock.

She immediately called Zara.
But before Zara could answer, Maya heard something strange on the other end of the phone.
Zara was crying.
âMaya⌠something has happened.â
Mayaâs heart raced.
âWhat?â
Zara took a deep breath.
âThe man I was with yesterday⌠he just lost everything too.â
The three women went silent.
Their plan was working.
But none of them realized that the power wasnât simply taking menâs money.

And somewhere inside the shrine, the babalawo was smiling.
