DAILY DIGEST – THE GOSPEL TRAVELS
DATE: FRIDAY, 27th FEBRUARY 2026
TOPIC: YOU ARE JUSTIFIED
TEXT: Romans 5:1–2
MEMORY VERSE: Romans 5:1 – “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (KJV)
MESSAGE
Justification is one of the greatest gifts of the gospel. It means to be declared righteous in the sight of God. Not because of personal perfection. Not because of flawless obedience. But because of faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1 reminds us that justification brings peace with God. Before salvation, humanity was separated from God by sin. Guilt stood as evidence. Condemnation loomed heavily. But through Christ’s sacrifice, the verdict changed. The courtroom of heaven declared believers righteous.
This is not a temporary status. It is a settled reality. When God justifies, He does not revisit the case. The penalty has already been paid in full. Shame loses its authority. Accusation loses its voice. Fear loses its grip.
However, being justified does not mean we live carelessly. It means we now live from acceptance, not for acceptance. We obey because we are loved, not to earn love. The gospel travels powerfully when believers walk confidently in their new identity.
If guilt has been whispering lies to you, remember this truth: in Christ, you are justified. Stand in that grace. Live in that freedom. Walk in that peace.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, thank You for the gift of justification through Christ.
2. Help me walk daily in the peace that comes from being declared righteous.
3. Silence every voice of condemnation against my life.
4. Teach me to live worthy of the grace I have received.
5. Let my testimony of redemption draw others to the gospel.
FUN FACT
In biblical times, a judge’s declaration carried absolute authority. Once a legal verdict was pronounced, it settled the matter. In the same way, when God justifies a believer, His verdict is final and eternally binding.
