Nobody Warned Me About Debugging: A Beginner's Journey in AI Automation

What I Wish Someone Had Told Me

My Docker Success Story

I fixed Docker by doing something simple: restarting the service.

3 hours of confusion. 2 minutes to fix.

But here's what I actually learned:

✅ How to diagnose daemon issues
✅ When to ask for help (immediately, not after hours)
✅ That technical problems are solvable
✅ That my startup can survive technical setbacks
✅ That being a beginner in AI automation is normal, and it's okay

You will hit walls. Probably today. Maybe in the next hour.

That's not a sign to quit.

That's the curriculum.

The vulnerability you feel when you don't understand an error? That's growth happening.

The shame you feel when you have to ask "what does this mean?" That's you becoming the person who eventually knows.

The frustration when it takes longer than expected? That's how you learn to ask for help.

A Note to My Future Self

When you're stuck on the next technical problem (and you will be), remember:

- You've solved hard problems before
- Errors are information, not criticism
- Help is always one question away
- Your AI automation journey is not defined by your debugging ability—it's defined by your willingness to keep going

You've got this.

The Lesson

Nobody warned me that learning AI automation would be a mix of:
- **10% elegant solutions**
- **90% unexpected problems and problem-solving**

Nobody warned me that debugging would feel like:
- Failure (but it's education)
- Frustration (but it's progress)
- Vulnerability (but it's growth)

But I'm glad I learned it anyway.

Because now when someone else hits a Docker error, I can tell them: **"I know exactly how you feel. Here's what fixed it for me."**

And maybe that's what being in tech is really about—not never getting stuck.

The biggest myth I had to unlearn about tech?

👉🏽 “You have to be a programmer or a tech expert to belong in tech.

Before starting this journey, I honestly thought tech was mostly for people who had been coding for years or had a strong computer science background.

Then I started learning AI automation with TechCrush—and my perspective began to change.

I realized that technology isn't only about writing complicated code.

It's also about understanding problems, thinking logically, learning tools, testing solutions, and finding better ways to get things done.

When I built my first automated workflow, I had to connect steps, understand the logic, test what I built, troubleshoot errors, and try again.

And I thought:

“Wait… I can actually do this.”😅🚀

My background in business, administration, customer service, and entrepreneurship didn't make me an outsider in tech.

It gave me something valuable: real problems to solve.

Now I'm learning to combine business knowledge with AI and automation to build smarter systems that help businesses save time, reduce repetitive work, and operate better.

So, the myth I'm debunking for myself is simple:

You don't have to know everything before you start. You just have to be willing to learn, experiment, and build.

I'm still learning. I'm still making mistakes. But I'm also building.

And that's enough reason to keep going. 💻✨

Tech isn't just for tech experts. It's for problem solvers too.

Why I Chose Tech 🚀

Before tech, I was already a problem solver.

My world revolved around business, customers, administration, sales, and building ideas from the ground up. I spent a lot of time asking: How can this process be easier? How can businesses save time? How can we serve customers better?

Then I discovered technology—not just as something to use, but as a tool for solving real problems.

That changed everything.

Today, I’m learning AI automation and building workflows that can turn repetitive processes into smarter systems. My first automated workflow may look small, but it represents a big shift: I’m moving from simply identifying problems to building technological solutions for them.

As a woman in tech, I’m learning that you don’t have to start as a programmer to create impact. You need curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the courage to build.

This is only part of my journey story. 🚀
