🚨HERO: INDIAN PILOT EMERGES AS HERO IN FLYDUBAI TERROR ATTACK!

This is Captain Smit Machchhar — an Indian national, former SpiceJet commander, and now a true hero.

Captain Machchhar was the captain of FlyDubai Flight FZ1073, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv with around 174 passengers on board.

More than two hours into the flight, his Omani co-pilot allegedly snapped — pulling a knife and stabbing Captain Machchhar inside the cockpit in what Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is now calling an attempted jihadist terror attack to crash the plane and kill all 174 on board.

Blood in the cockpit. Emergency codes 7700 and then 7500 — hijack — screaming across the radar. The aircraft plunged from 34,000 feet to 16,000 feet in seconds, dropping 14,300 feet in just 37 seconds.

Israel scrambled fighter jets fearing a 9/11-style attack on Tel Aviv.

But Captain Machchhar didn't give up. Despite being stabbed and injured, he fought back, regained control of the aircraft, and with help from passengers who stormed to subdue the co-pilot, he heroically made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Both pilots were hospitalized. All 174 passengers — including 27 children — survived.

Smit Machchhar joined FlyDubai in 2022 after a decade at SpiceJet, with over 9,750 hours on the Boeing 737.

He was supposed to be just flying a plane. He ended up saving 174 lives from a terrorist in his own cockpit.
Pray for him as he now fights for his life from the results of series of wounds from the stab
A real hero.

CHALLENGE THE MESSAGE. BUT DON’T DEHUMANISE THE MESSENGER.

The Apostle Arome Osayi–VDM (Martins Vincent Otse) controversy has opened a much bigger conversation than whether two men agree on Nigeria.

You can disagree with Apostle Arome.
You can challenge his interpretation of Nigeria’s national calling.
You can argue that prayer, technology, innovation, industry and practical development should all be part of Nigeria’s future.

That is debate.

But when disagreement moves into mimicking a man’s speech, ridiculing his facial appearance and turning a physical feature into entertainment, we have moved from criticising a message to ridiculing a human being.
And perhaps we should actually listen to what Apostle Arome said.
His argument was not that civilization is evil or that Nigerians should stop building.
His point was that nations can have different callings.
His sermon contrasted China’s strength in manufacturing and technology with what he described as Nigeria’s spiritual assignment of revival and exporting the gospel to other nations.

Whether you agree with that theology is another conversation.
But don’t misrepresent the argument just to win the argument.
And don’t reduce a man who has spent years preaching to nations to a facial expression for the sake of content.

There is something particularly troubling about a generation where a serious theological disagreement can quickly become a comedy skit about somebody’s physical appearance.

What happened to debating ideas?

If you believe Apostle Arome is wrong, then dismantle his argument.
Bring Scripture. Bring history. Bring economics.
Bring technology. Bring evidence. Bring another interpretation.
But bring an argument, not a caricature
Jesus was mocked, Paul was opposed, the prophets were ridiculed and Scripture repeatedly shows us that a messenger’s appearance, suffering or circumstances are not sufficient grounds for dismissing the message being presented.
Even Thomas did not receive Christ by watching people call him Lord He encountered the risen Christ and was confronted with the reality of what Christ had endured. Not everyone will believe on less they see a sign
So yes let the message be examined. Let Apostle Arome be questioned.

Let his theology be debated.

Let Nigerians discuss whether spiritual revival, technological advancement, economic development and national transformation can coexist.

Those are legitimate conversations.
But mocking somebody’s physical appearance is not intellectual superiority.

And content does not become more powerful simply because it gets laughs from someone’s vulnerability.

There is a difference between calling out a preacher and tearing down a person.

There is a difference between accountability and humiliation.

There is a difference between satire and dehumanisation.

VDM has built a reputation around challenging powerful people and speaking on issues many others are afraid to confront. That right to question people should be preserved.

But the same standard should apply to everyone:

If you want people to take your criticism seriously, make the criticism stronger than the mockery.
Apostle Arome is not beyond criticism.
Neither is VDM.
But you must learn to balance your words with honor. speaking and presenting your arguments
Attack the argument.
Interrogate the claim.
Challenge the theology.
Question the logic.
Bring evidence.
But leave the man’s humanity alone.
Nigeria needs conversations that make us wiser not content that makes us cruel.

🖤Most of you have never heard her name… but you should never forget it.

Her name was Latasha Harlins

In 1991, at just 15 years old, this bright young Black girl walked into a Korean owned Empire Liquor store in South Central Los Angeles on a regular day the kind of day that should have ended with her going home, laughing with friends, or just living her life. Instead, she never walked out.

The store owner’s wife, Soon Ja Du, wrongly assumed Latasha was trying to steal a $1.79 bottle of orange juice. A brief struggle broke out. Du grabbed Latasha. Latasha pushed her to the ground. In that moment, Du didn’t de-escalate. She didn’t call the police. She went behind the counter, pulled out a handgun, and pointed it at a child.

Latasha did the opposite of what fear would demand. She bent down, calmly picked up the orange juice she never intended to steal, and placed it on the counter. Then she turned to leave.

That’s when Soon Ja Du shot her in the back of the head from three feet away.

Latasha Harlins was killed instantly.

There were two eyewitnesses. The store’s own security camera captured everything. The footage showed a 15-year-old girl trying to walk away not attacking, not threatening, just leaving. Yet when the case went to trial, the jury found Du guilty of voluntary manslaughter and recommended the maximum sentence: 16 years in prison.

Judge Joyce Karlin ignored them.

Instead, Du walked free with 400 hours of community service, five years of probation, and a $500 fine. The judge declared that although Du “acted inappropriately,” her actions were somehow “justified.” She went further framing Soon Ja Du as the real victim and Latasha as the criminal who, had she lived, would have been standing in court for assaulting a store clerk.

A Black child’s life was reduced to a slap on the wrist for her killer.

The killing of Latasha Harlins became one of the major sparks that helped ignite the 1992 Los Angeles uprising the same fires the world remembers mostly through the name Rodney King. But Latasha was there first. She is one of the original faces of , long before the phrase went viral.

Tupac Shakur never forgot her. He carried her name with him, referenced her in multiple songs, and dedicated the iconic “Keep Ya Head Up” to Latasha Harlins a love letter to every young Black girl the world tries to erase.

So today we say it loud:

Latasha Harlins.
💔 You were only 15.
💔 You didn’t deserve that bullet.
💔 You didn’t deserve that courtroom.
💔 You didn’t deserve to be forgotten.

You are a pillar, baby girl whether the history books fully acknowledge it or not.

And today, someone heard your story. 🖤 story from a different source
