Ghostface Killah (Featuring Raekwon) - The Forest https://youtu.be/a9HuGts2_SQ
Happy birthday Raekwon, this photo is from 2001 and an outtake photo for the Ghostface Killah album "Bulletproof Wallets", What can you say about these two as duo? they are the Tango & Cash of Hip-Hop, they attended Junior High school together but Raekwon and The rest of the crew were from Park Hill Projects and Ghostface Killah was from Stapleton, the crew has not being short of beef and differences between each other and other artists over the years but as a collective still remain solid on a Friendship level, when it comes down to the Music, outside of the WU debut album, the album you look to, for Ghost and Rae's full chemistry on a musical level is undoubtedly "Only Built For Cuban Linx" , they cram so much quality into the album, they stir up pure creativity and authentic Street energy into the project, the storytelling and cinematic lyricism , really was something, Kool G Rap is one of the Fathers of Mafioso Hip-Hop on the East Coast but "Only Built For Cuban Linx" rightfully deserves to be praised as a top tier Mafioso Hip-Hop album, it's laced full of imagination and atmosphere production wise, you can feel the energy on the album and they made songs you can reflect, get pumped up to, Raekwon as an artist definitely thinks about the album and full picture before just the song and i think Ghost has a very similar mindset and personality to him, which is why they work so well and bounce off each other in Life and in the music, they have a great affinity and only enhance each other, when they work together on a song, the outtake photo here is actually still really influential, as recent as 2021, Rome Streetz & Ransom, done their own animated take and dedication to "Bulletproof Wallets" for their album "Coup de Grâce" , as an alternative to the original album cover they had on the physicals, this style of Hip-Hop is still inspiring current artists.
