THE FARMER CHAIRMAN WUSHISHI L.G HON MOHAMMED KPOTI YELWA (MAGAJIN GARIN MAKUSIDI/TURAKIN KALIKO/JAGABAN MAI LEMA FARMERS SUPPORT KODO AND GWARJIKO WITH DRUGS IN RESPONSE TO CHOLERA OUTBREAK IN WUSHISHI L.G.
The Farmer Chairman Wushishi L.G Hon Mohammed Kpoti Yelwa have provided an emergency support to some rural health cares in kodo and Gwarjiko ward in response to the sudden cholera outbreak in Wushishi L.G and Niger state.
The Wushishi L.G Supervisory Councilor for Health Hon. Nuhu Iman who handover the drugs to the rural health authorities said, the farmer chairman Wushishi L.G Hon Mohammed Kpoti Yelwa have expressed concern over the increase number of cases of cholera in our rural communities.
He also call upon the Niger State Primary Healthcare Development Authorities, our stakeholders and Health Cluster members to enhance collaboration with the local health authorities to ensure a proactive and coordinated approach to cholera response across Niger state.
He further explain that Cholera is a waterborne bacterial infection that can spread quickly through a population. The disease is primarily contracted by consuming water or food contaminated with the cholera bacteria (Vibrio cholerae). It causes uncontrollable diarrhoea that, if left untreated, it can result in dehydration or death.
The Farmer Chairman Wushishi L.G Hon Mohammed Kpoti Yelwa still remain committed in providing support to our rural HealthCare’s across Wushishi L.G.
