Africa Untold

Africa Untold Africa Untold shares powerful stories, hidden history, breathtaking places and inspiring truths about Africa and its people. Welcome to Africa Untold. Not myth.

This page exists because the story of Africa
that the world has been told
is incomplete. Deliberately incomplete. You were taught that Africa was
discovered by Europeans. You were not taught that Africa
had universities when Europe had caves. You were taught that Africa is poor. You were not taught that Africa holds
30% of the world's minerals, and that those minerals are leaving
Africa every single day. You were taught African history
starts with slavery. You were not taught about the
Mali Empire, the wealthiest
civilisation in human history. About the Kush*te queens who
defeated Rome. About the Congolese scholars
who mapped the stars thousands
of years before telescopes existed. Africa Untold is dedicated to
recovering what was buried. Every story on this page is
documented historical fact. Not conspiracy. Fact, that was systematically
removed from global education. What you will find here:

🌍 The African kings and queens
who changed the world
🌍 The civilisations that built
everything modern science
is still trying to explain
🌍 The resources being extracted
from African soil today
while Africans go hungry
🌍 The leaders who were killed
for wanting Africa's wealth
for African people
🌍 The genocides the world watched
and chose to ignore
🌍 The inventions, the mathematics,
the medicine, the astronomy
that Africa gave humanity,
and never received credit for

This page is for every African
on the continent. For every African in the diaspora. For every African American
searching for the history
that was taken from them
on those ships. For every human being on earth
who wants the full story. Not the sanitised version. The real one. Follow Africa Untold. Share every post. Because the truth only spreads
if you carry it. 🌍

June 30, 1960.

Congo celebrated independence
from Belgium.

Their first elected Prime Minister β€”
Patrice Lumumba β€”
stood before his people and said:

"Congo's wealth belongs
to Congolese people."

He had 67 days.

What happened next:

πŸ”΄ The CIA station chief in Congo
sent an urgent cable to Washington:
"Lumumba must be eliminated"

πŸ”΄ Declassified documents confirm
President Eisenhower personally
approved his assassination

πŸ”΄ Belgium sent agents to assist

πŸ”΄ He was captured, beaten in front
of international cameras, flown
to Katanga and tortured for days

πŸ”΄ Executed by firing squad
January 17, 1961 β€”
just 67 days after independence

πŸ”΄ His body was dissolved in acid
to destroy the evidence

πŸ”΄ A Belgian police officer kept
his tooth as a souvenir
It sat in a Belgian home
for 60 years
Belgium returned it in 2022

Why did they kill him?

Because Congo has $24 TRILLION
in mineral wealth.

And he wanted it for
Congolese people.

Belgium formally apologised
for his murder in 2002.

The CIA has never apologised.

Congo is still one of the
poorest countries on earth.

Lumumba's son Patrick
is still alive today.

He has watched his father's
murderers die peacefully
in their beds.

With their wealth intact.

Walls 36 feet high.
20 feet thick.
Spanning 7 square kilometres.
Built for a city of 20,000 people.

Not a single drop of mortar.

The stones are cut so precisely
they hold each other purely
through weight and placement.

Engineers today say it would be
extremely difficult to replicate
with modern equipment.

This is Great Zimbabwe.
Built by Africans.
Between 1100 and 1450 AD.

When Europeans arrived in the 1890s:

❌ They said Africans couldn't
have built it
❌ They blamed Phoenicians, Arabs,
ancient Hebrews β€” anyone but
the people who actually built it
❌ The British Museum director
physically DESTROYED parts of
the site in 1902 looking for
foreign evidence
❌ He found none
❌ The Rhodesian government made it
OFFICIAL POLICY that no
archaeologist could say
Africans built it
❌ Scientists who told the truth
were censored and removed

In 1980 the people took back
their country.

They renamed it Zimbabwe.
After this city.

The city they supposedly
never built.

The archaeological evidence is
now conclusive and undisputed.

Great Zimbabwe was built by
the ancestors of the Shona people.

Africans.

No help needed.
No foreign guidance.
Just mastery.

November 1884.
Berlin, Germany.

14 European nations sat
around a table.

On that table β€” a map of Africa.

Not a single African
was in the room.

For 3 months they drew lines.
Straight lines.
With a ruler.

Across mountains.
Across rivers.
Across families.
Across kingdoms that had existed
for thousands of years.

When they finished:

πŸ”΄ 177 ethnic groups had been
split across multiple countries
πŸ”΄ Brothers woke up in
different nations overnight
πŸ”΄ Ancient kingdoms were
cut directly in half
πŸ”΄ Enemies were forced to
share the same country
πŸ”΄ Allies were placed in
separate nations unable
to trade or communicate

They called it
"The Scramble for Africa."

Look at a map of Africa today.

Count the straight borders.
Those are the ruler lines
from that Berlin table.

Now look at every major
African conflict since 1960.

Rwanda. South Sudan. Nigeria.
Somalia. DRC. Ethiopia. Mali.

Every single one traces directly
back to that afternoon in Berlin.

Africa is not unstable
because of Africans.

Africa is unstable because
14 men drew lines
through people's lives β€”
and those lines never healed.

This is not history.
This is happening right now.

If you are African American β€”
this is YOUR story too.
They took you from here
before they divided what
was left.

understands why Africa
bleeds where it bleeds. 🌍

Before 2011, Libya had:

βœ… Free healthcare for every citizen
βœ… Free university education
βœ… Free electricity
βœ… $50,000 government gift to
every newlywed couple
βœ… Government paid part of
every car purchase
βœ… If you couldn't find work
the government paid your salary
βœ… Mothers received $5,000
cash for every child born
βœ… 40 loaves of bread cost $0.15
βœ… National debt β€” almost zero

It had the highest Human
Development Index in Africa.

In 2011 NATO destroyed it
in 8 months.

Today Libya has open slave markets.
African migrants sold publicly
for $400.

CNN filmed it in 2017.
The United Nations condemned it.
Nothing changed.

The most developed country
in Africa.

Destroyed.

Now has slave markets.

Ask yourself why a country
with free everything
needed to be "liberated."

If you are African American β€”
this is happening to
YOUR continent. Now.

Before Greek existed.
Before Arabic existed.
Before Latin existed.

Africa was already writing
complex literature,
science and history.

3,200 BC.

The world's first writing system β€”
Egyptian Hieroglyphics β€” is African.

But it goes deeper:

✍️ Every major alphabet on earth
traces to Africa
✍️ Phoenicians learned from Egypt
✍️ Greeks learned from Phoenicia
✍️ Romans learned from Greece
✍️ You are reading this right now
in a system that started in Africa

And Africa alone had
multiple original writing systems:

πŸ“œ Hieroglyphics β€” Egypt, 3,200 BC
πŸ“œ Ge'ez β€” Ethiopia, still used today
πŸ“œ Nsibidi β€” Nigeria, predates Arabic
πŸ“œ Meroitic β€” Sudan, still not
fully decoded by modern science

Africa had libraries when
Europe had caves.

The world learned to write
from Africa.

Then wrote Africa
out of the story.

If you are African American β€”
this is YOUR history too.
They took you from here.
