IF I HAD KNOWN BEFORE...

My husband was diagnosed with kidney failure.

The doctors said he needed expensive treatment.

We had already sold our car, our land, and almost everything we owned. I was exhausted, scared, and convinced there was no hope left.

One night, I left him in the hospital with only a short note:

"I'm sorry... I can't do this anymore."

I never looked back.

Five years later, I attended a charity event organized by a wealthy businessman who paid hospital bills for people who couldn't afford treatment.

When he stepped onto the stage, my heart stopped.

It was my husband.

He had survived because a complete stranger donated a kidney and helped him rebuild his life.

As he shared his testimony, he smiled and said,
"The person who saved my life wasn't the one who promised to stay forever. It was a stranger who chose kindness."

I lowered my head in shame.

If I had known before, I would have stayed.

Sometimes, the greatest regret in life is walking away just before the miracle happens.

Good morning. May we have the strength to stand by the people we love, especially during their darkest moments. ❤️

If you were in his shoes, would you forgive her?

Was she wrong for leaving, or was she simply overwhelmed by life's pressure?

What lesson did this story teach you?

The Price of Motherhood

For twelve painful years, Evelyn and Richard desperately longed for a child. They visited the best hospitals, sought spiritual help, and spent a fortune on treatments, but every pregnancy test ended in disappointment. Their once joyful home slowly became filled with silence.

Hoping to ease Evelyn's burden, they employed a humble 20-year-old village girl named Ada as their housemaid. She was honest, caring, and treated Evelyn with genuine love and respect.

But behind Evelyn's back, Richard made the biggest mistake of his life. He secretly began an affair with Ada, and months later, Ada became pregnant.

When the time came, Ada went into labor and was rushed to the hospital. After hours of intense pain, she delivered a healthy baby boy. The delivery was difficult, and she remained unconscious.

Standing outside the hospital room, Richard turned to Evelyn with tears streaming down his face.

"I have destroyed our marriage," he confessed. "But maybe this child can save us."

He continued, "Ada is still unconscious. She doesn't even know she has given birth. Let's take the baby and raise him as ours. I'll give Ada 50 million US dollars, send her anywhere she wants to start a new life, and no one will ever know the truth. Please... let's save our marriage."

Evelyn stood frozen.

For twelve years, she had prayed for the chance to hear a baby call her "Mom." The little boy lying peacefully in the hospital nursery could finally make that dream come true.

She slowly walked to the glass window and looked at the innocent child.

Then she turned to look at Ada, still unconscious on the hospital bed, completely unaware that people were deciding the future of her newborn son.

Tears rolled down Evelyn's cheeks.

"No," she whispered.

Richard looked at her in disbelief.

"No amount of money—not even 50 million US dollars—can buy a mother's child."

She continued, her voice trembling.

"When Ada wakes up, the first face she deserves to see is her son, not an empty bed. I have suffered the pain of childlessness for twelve years, but I will never heal my pain by creating another woman's lifelong sorrow."

Richard fell to his knees, overwhelmed with shame.

Evelyn asked him to keep the money, but she personally arranged additional financial support to help Ada and her baby begin a comfortable new life. It was not payment for the child—it was compassion for an innocent mother and her son.
When Ada finally regained consciousness, the nurse gently placed her baby in her arms.

The moment she held him against her chest, she burst into tears of joy, unaware of the heartbreaking decision that had been made while she lay unconscious.

Richard watched from a distance, realizing that the greatest lesson of his life had not come from wealth, but from the woman he had betrayed.

That day, Evelyn remained childless...

But she proved that true motherhood begins with love, compassion, and a clear conscience—not with taking what belongs to another woman.

If you were Evelyn, would you have accepted your husband's plan to save your marriage, or would you have made the same decision she did?
