Today, let’s take a moment to celebrate our music maestro, Dr. Alfred Izonebi, aka Jking! One of the highest employer of labor in Ijaw land with over 60-70 staffs off the street. You are a legend in the Ijaw music scene!

Your stage and new sound is the real deal, premium and top-notch! Confession… I got home around 1:20am and was still grooving to one of his popular tracks, 'DIBI' like it was somewhere live in Agudama! But no, it was from Opolo School Field. You can imagine the distance.

Off cause, the town is peaceful so trekking to the house by that time didn’t call for fear. While still outside waiting for the door to be opened, I pulled out my phone from the pocket and text my friend who is currently the General Manager of the Band, "that look oh, am in the house now and still hearing the sound from here oh" indicating the particular track in my text and he responded with an affirmation!

This afternoon, I was in Bulou-Orua Community, Sagbama Local Government Area, where I joined my dear elder brother and ally, Hon. Paul Ebikeseiye, for the formal inauguration of the Alfred Jking Fans Club, Kolobiri Chapter.

The CEO of Alfred Jking & De Because of Love Crew, Dr. Alfred Izonebi, was ably represented at the event by the band’s General Manager, Hon. Paul Ebikeseiye.

We commended the Executive, led by Comr. Afiriki Mieseifa, for their bold vision and encouraged them to remain united in pursuing the goals for which the organization was established.

'Alfred was chiefly in the United Kingdom to tell stories musically and globalise the Ijaw culture and his music career. Right before the Ijaws in Manchester City in the afternoon, he gave the Ijaws from Liverpool, Shiefield, Portsmouth, Cambridge, Bournemouth, London, Leeds and many other cities an unforgettable live performance.

The Ijaws rhythmically communicated with their bodies as Dr. (h.c.) Alfred told great stories in music that brought back long forgotten memories. Between 24 and 25 December 2025, Dr. (h.c) Izonebi Alfred was able to break the jinx on Ijaw highlife musician's inability to leave the shores of Nigeria and globalise the Ijaw culture through music.
