                                            Guinness World Records has officially confirmed Nigerian chef Hilda Baci’s latest culinary triumph for cooking the largest and serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
In an announcement on Instagram on Monday, the organization revealed that Baci prepared an astonishing 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz) of jollof rice.
The feat, achieved through nine hours of steady heat, patience and teamwork has secured her a fresh spot in the record books.
Baci’s effort yielded about 16,600 plates of the iconic West African dish and consumed over 1,200 kilograms of gas.
She described the experience as one “served with joy, love, and community.”
Already renowned for her record-breaking cooking marathon, Baci continues to showcase Nigerian cuisine on the global stage, inspiring pride in African food culture and motivating young chefs to dream big.
