THE ROLE OF TRAINED LADY OFFICERS IN THE BOYS' BRIGADE NIGERIA AT COMPANY LEVEL

We celebrate and welcome our Lady Officers who have successfully completed their Basic Officers Training. Your commissioning into leadership is not just an achievement; it is a call to service, discipline, mentorship, and nation building.

At the Company level, Lady Officers play a very important role in the growth and effectiveness of The Boys' Brigade Nigeria. Your responsibilities go beyond wearing the uniform; you are expected to be examples of character, faith, leadership, and commitment.

Some key roles include:

1. Training and Mentorship of Boys
Lady Officers help train Boys in discipline, Christian values, leadership skills, drill, personal hygiene, teamwork, and responsible living. You become role models who influence the boys positively.

2. Spiritual Development
As a Christian organisation, officers help guide boys in faith, encouraging prayer, Bible study, good morals, and a life that reflects Christian principles.

3. Welfare and Pastoral Care
Lady Officers often contribute greatly to the welfare of boys by identifying their needs, offering encouragement, and helping create a safe and supportive environment.

4. Supporting Company Administration
At company level, officers assist with planning parades, programmes, inspections, activities, records, and ensuring that the company runs effectively according to BB Nigeria standards.

5. Building Confidence and Leadership
Through interaction, coaching, and example, Lady Officers help boys develop confidence, responsibility, respect, and leadership qualities that prepare them for future service.

6. Promoting Teamwork and Unity
Officers help build a strong company spirit where boys learn cooperation, respect for authority, and service to others.

To our newly trained Lady Officers: remember that leadership in The Boys' Brigade is a ministry and a responsibility. The boys may forget some instructions, but they will remember the example you set.

May your service strengthen the company, inspire the boys, and contribute to building a better generation.
