FLASH: The Adamawa State House of Assembly Speaker, RT Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and his entourage visited Jabba Hyema to offer condolences to the community following a devastating flood that inundated their community yesterday, 3rd September, 2025.

The flood, which affected several families, caused considerable damage to homes and properties, but fortunately, no lives were lost.

The House Leader's presence brought succor to the victims as he distributed relief materials and pledged to liaise with the state government, relevant agencies, and individuals for further support.

PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Adamawa State Government wishes to inform the general public, particularly motorists and commuters along the Pella–Maiha Road, that due to the recent heavy and unprecedented rainfall, a section of the road near Nzedinyi town has been significantly damaged.

As a precaution, road users are strongly advised to make use of alternative routes until the affected portion is fully restored. This measure is to ensure the safety of all travelers and to prevent avoidable accidents or inconveniences.

His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has already directed that immediate remedial works be carried out to restore safe passage and ensure the road is reopened as quickly as possible.

The Adamawa State Government appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the public as we work diligently to address this situation.
