Ortom Challenges Alia to Public Debate
Former Benue State Governor, Chief Samuel Ortom, has challenged Governor Hyacinth Alia to a public debate over allegations that ₦139.8 billion was misappropriated during his administration.
Ortom insisted his government was transparent, with audited accounts and records available for verification. He described the allegations as baseless and urged Alia to take the matter to court if there is evidence.
He also questioned how the current administration has managed state funds, claiming it has received about ₦1.3 trillion while issues such as unpaid salaries, pensions, and IDP resettlement remain unresolved.
