*DON'T RUSH THINGS*

Moving too quickly is one of the biggest errors people make in life.

We constantly have the impression that we need to hurry or risk missing out on something.

Nothing is accomplished instantly.

There is nothing like instant success. The path to the top is not always straightforward.

Rushing can lead you to abandon your morals or ethical principles.

Since you are less distracted when you stop rushing, you commit fewer errors.

Take one tiny step at a time and complete what needs to be done. You will eventually arrive at your destination.

Any worthwhile thing is worth the wait.

You will succeed in whatever you set out to do in life. Do not lose hope. Enjoy the trip. And don't rush things.

Mummy or Daddy are not coming to pull you out of that financial challenge.

There is no knight in shining armour coming to rescue you from that financial mess.

If it is going to be, it is up to you.

If you want to change your financial story, don't wait for somebody to help you. Take charge.

DRESS WELL.

In the words of Academy Award winner Edith Head, "You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it."

It's unfortunate that our society is so obsessed with looks over substance.

People with great value to offer are often overlooked for great opportunities because they are not well dressed.

People perceive you differently and better if you dress well.

Pay attention to how you look. Start by dressing like the person you are aspiring to be.

You never know who you will meet and what opportunities you might miss because you didn't look good.

No matter what, put a little effort in with your appearance. It will pay off.

The first edition of Chicken Soup For The Soul authored by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen was rejected by several publishers.

They all said short stories about optimism would never sell.

After more than 140 rejections the book was finally published and went on to sell more than 500 million books globally.

Not only that, it created a brand now worth more than $100 million!

The lesson? Don't get discouraged when you get a no. Just Keep Asking!

DON'T QUIT.

She moved to Portugal from the UK after her mom died to teach English. Met and married a Portuguese journalist.

Her marriage ended in divorce and she moved to Edinburgh with her daughter to live with her younger sister.

While struggling to support her daughter and herself on welfare, she worked on her first book in cafes while her daughter was asleep.

She finished writing the book and sent the manuscript to 12 different publishers and got rejected by every single one.

Finally the publisher at Bloomsbury Publishing Company agreed to publish her novel.

J. K. Rowling. Creator of the Harry Potter series went from being a jobless single mother to being the first female to become a billionaire author.

INCOME OF THE RICH.

In the world of money, there are different types of income: earned income, portfolio income and passive income.

But, not all incomes are created equal.

Earned income is money earned from active work. This includes a paycheck from a job.

Portfolio income is income generated from paper assets: shares, bonds, mutual funds, etc.

Passive income is money earned without you actively working.

It is money earned usually based on a previous activity like investments that generates dividends, a website that sells 24/7, royalties from intellectual properties: books, films, songs, etc.

In other words, making money while you sleep.

This is why passive income is called the income of the rich.

Rich people can spend their days playing and relaxing because they work smart earning passive income.

Meanwhile, most people cannot get ahead financially because they are working too hard for earned income.

So now, what type of income are you working hard for?

WHO IS PAYING YOU?

You wake up in the morning and reach for a toothbrush and toothpaste that you paid somebody for.

You go to the bathroom to take your bath and you use a tablet of soap to wash and a towel to dry yourself which you paid somebody for.

The question is, who is paying you?

You put on your clothes, shoes and accessories which you paid somebody for.

You then sit on your breakfast table to take breakfast, probably tea and bread which you paid somebody for.

The question once more is, who is paying you?

It's a big question. It's an Impactful question. It's a life changing question.

If you can answer this question correctly, it will change your financial story.

So how do you get people to start paying you?

Simple. Create value and solve problems.
