Engr. Dr. Dauda Nalado
In the wee hours of Thursday, two bouncing female twins were born, some minutes one after the other. It was on 8th of August, the month of bountiful showers in 1996. Hasana was destined to come forth first, then to our bewilderment the heroine followed.
Right from infant stage, at childhood and in adolescence, signs of greatness were manifest with Husaina. Feats of ingenuity started to show. She had fast grasp and memorization of verses of the Holy Quran during study sessions. In the Nursery at Madabo, she excelled.
She was among the tranquil shining stars at the FCE staff school. As head girl in Summertime junior secondary academy, she exhibited stark qualities of youthful exuberant leadership. As the second best graduating student at Sunrise Academy, she wasted not a single session and proceeded to the prestigious citadel of learning named after Emir Abdullahi Bayero.
With her mastery of mathematics, her choice and subsequent successful offer of civil Engineering was apt. She became eligible and succeeded to earn the glorious scholarship award by FOCI, the construction giants.
Hitherto, the Heroine, together with her twin sister and Yaya Abdul , had a comprehensive Quranic graduation. Thanks to the Popular Maahad Sheikh Yaaqub Dukurawa, in the ancient city.
Starting as a participant in Islamic vacation courses, Husaina progressed to be part of its organizers in the Academic Forum. She was the vice president of its branch in the University. As an active, confident and committed member, her absence in AbulFadl Abbas Foundation is grossly felt. The Media Forum Kano and the Zainabiyya Initiative still crave for a personality to replace her critical role. In short, she proved to be a model expected of a disciple of Sheikh El-Zakzaky.
I am short of words to describe her: Is it her courage and bravery or her patience and composure? Is it her hard work and seriousness or is
