JUST IN: The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 13 new degree programmes for Nigerian universities under the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) initiative.

The approved programmes are:

3. B.Sc. Human Kinetics (Sport Management)

4. B.Eng. Geomatics

5. B.HLIS Community Health Science

6. B.Sc. Intelligence and Security Studies

7. B.Sc. Islamic Economics and Finance

8. B.Sc. Parasitology and Entomology

9. B.Sc. Telecommunication Science

10. B.Sc. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

11. B.Sc. Cooperative Economics and Management

12. B.Sc. Nuclear Science

Zaria students underground during excursion at Century Mining Company (CMC) Ltd, at Riruwai town, Doguwa local government area, Kano state, Nigeria.
This is the very first set of mining engineering degree program in ABU to enter underground mine.
Excursion: from Sunday 12th-10-2025 to Wednesday 15th-10-2025.

JAMB ACTIVATES SMS METHOD TO ACCEPT ADMISSION ON CAPS:

New Admission Acceptance Requirement on JAMB CAPS:

As of now, all candidates accepting admission on JAMB CAPS will be required to undergo "verification of their UTME-registered SIM card". Please take note of this new requirement to avoid any issues with your admission process.

GUIDELINES:

1. SIM Card Verification Mandatory:
- Candidates must have access to the same phone number (SIM) used during UTME registration to accept their admission.
- If your registered SIM is lost, damaged, or unavailable, you will not be able to accept your admission offer.

2. Action Required:
- If you no longer have the registered SIM, take immediate steps to retrieve or recover it (e.g., visit your telecom provider for a replacement).
- Only candidates with access to the registered phone number can proceed with admission acceptance.
