AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY,
DR. NASIR IDRIS (KAURAN GWANDU), EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KEBBI STATE
AN APPEAL FOR THE APPROVAL OF CLINICAL/BONDING ALLOWANCE FOR KEBBI STATE MEDICAL AND PARAMEDICAL STUDENTS.

His Excellency,
With utmost respect and humility, we, the medical and paramedical students of Kebbi State from various professions and institutions, wish to convey our sincere appreciation to Your Excellency for your continued commitment to the welfare of students and your remarkable efforts toward the development of the health sector in Kebbi State.
Your Excellency, we humbly bring before you the pressing financial challenges confronting medical and paramedical students who are currently undergoing clinical training.
Students in Nursing, Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, and other health-related professions are required to spend long periods in clinical postings and practical training across various health institutions. These clinical engagements are an essential part of our professional education, as they provide us with the practical knowledge, skills, and experience required to become competent healthcare professionals.
Unfortunately, the financial burden associated with these clinical postings has become increasingly severe. Many students struggle to meet the costs of transportation, accommodation, feeding, clinical materials, uniforms, textbooks, and other necessities. Our parents and guardians, who remain our major source of financial support, are equally under significant economic pressure. Despite these difficulties, they continue to make sacrifices to ensure that their children receive quality professional education.
Your Excellency, we therefore respectfully appeal to your compassion and commitment to the future of Kebbi State youth. The approval of the proposed clinical/bonding allowance would provide significant relief to students and their families and would demonstrate that the Kebbi State Government recognizes and values the sacrifices being made by students pursuing healthcare professions.
we are future healthcare professionals being trained to serve the people of Kebbi State. We are proud to be indigenes of Kebbi State, and we look forward to returning our knowledge, skills, and professional experience to our communities. After completing our training, we aspire to contribute meaningfully to the provision of quality healthcare services and the strengthening of the state's health system.
Your Excellency, we have remained patient and hopeful while awaiting the necessary approval for this allowance. We respectfully appeal to you to consider the prolonged financial hardship being experienced by students and the sacrifices of the parents and guardians who continue to sponsor us.
We also wish to acknowledge the strong goodwill and solidarity that Kebbi State students have consistently demonstrated toward the administration of Your Excellency. As young citizens of Kebbi State, we remain hopeful for continued progress under your leadership and look forward to participating responsibly in the democratic process, including supporting leaders and administrations whose policies promote the welfare, education, and future of our people.
Therefore, with profound respect, we appeal to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, the Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education, and all other relevant government officials and stakeholders to kindly consider our situation and facilitate the prompt approval and implementation of the clinical/bonding allowance for Kebbi State medical and paramedical students.
Your Excellency, we humbly ask: please hear our voice, consider our situation, and approve our clinical/bonding allowance.
We remain proud sons and daughters of Kebbi State, committed to our education, our profession, and ultimately to serving our people.
