A philanthropist and founder of Motherhood of Africa, a non-governmental organization (NGO), Nana Esi Antwi Bosiako, has been enstooled as Adehyemaa of the Lower Town Axim and Nsein Traditional Area under the stool name Nana Akaa Kye II. Her enstoolment is in recognition of her contributions to the poor and vulnerable in society.
The ceremony, organized by the Lower Town Axim and Nsein Traditional Council, saw her pledge to collaborate with the Traditional Council, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), and the Member of Parliament (MP) to fast-track socio-economic development in the area.
In her speech, Nana Akaa Kye II promised to support mobile health outreach programmes for the aged and vulnerable in villages, saying, “No one should be denied care because of distance or poverty.” She assured the people that the Axim Government Hospital would receive special support and attention.
