INDIE MUSIC PROMOTION — 28 SEPTEMBER 2026 DIGEST
Monday has delivered 14 fresh stories, ranging from Filipino pop-rock and veteran synth-pop to New Zealand dream-rock, electronic experimentation, grunge and industrial revivalism.
🇵🇭 HEY JUNE! release second album Realidad, using Manila’s LRT-2 railway as a surprisingly effective metaphor for adulthood, movement and transition.
📻 Erasure announce their 20th studio album Radio!! Radio!! alongside lead single “Wings Of Love” — and apparently twenty albums still isn’t enough touring, because a 20-date 2027 arena run is coming too.
⭐ Scottish outfit Fright Years release “Dye Star”, a soaring slice of alternative pop-rock built around unapologetically large hooks.
🌑 Sweden’s Pom Femme tease their debut album with “Black Sun White Noise”, wrapping dream-pop melodies in layers of reverb.
🏃 Eventually Flowers choose momentum over existential dread on the energetic guitar anthem “Chasing Time”.
😎 Gabriela Bee keeps things understated on “Cool”, pairing relaxed melodies with hazy bedroom-pop textures.
🌊 Auckland quartet Echomatica deliver “Atomic Girl”, where Manchester post-punk melancholy meets distinctly New Zealand dream-rock atmosphere.
🏰 PYTKO and Sam Thomas collaborate on “The Tower”, balancing jagged electronic glitches against piano and almost weightless vocals.
💫 Emerging act Lucky Star return with second single “Romeo”, leaning into nostalgic jangle guitars and bedroom-pop intimacy.
🔥 Triad bring back the grit with “Downfall”, the title track from their debut album and an affectionate collision with ’90s grunge attitude.
🦓 Naarm newcomers In Faux make their entrance with debut single “Zoo”, mixing slacker-rock looseness, shoegaze noise and surprisingly sticky dream-pop melody.
🕺 Max Main releases “Playboy”, the groove-heavy title track from album number two, combining psychedelic colour with punchy alternative-rock hooks.
🚀 Australian singer-songwriter Michael G. Jones releases “Way Past Mars”, produced by TAXIRIDE’s Tim Wild and built around the uneasy tug-of-war between ambition and romance.
⚙️ Los Angeles industrial-rock veterans Engines of Aggression return with Wargames via Sonic 9 Entertainment, continuing a revival that proves industrial rock has apparently ignored all requests to behave quietly.
Fourteen stories. Plenty of guitars. Several synthesizers. Absolutely no shortage of reasons to avoid the algorithm and go exploring.
