Every brushstroke, every fold, and every sparkle in my artwork tells a story—a story of where I come from and who I’ve become.I was born in the sun-soaked province of Cadiz, Andalusia, where life bursts with color, music, and passion. My childhood was shaped by the sights and sounds of flamenco, the scent of orange blossoms in the air, and the warmth of family gatherings under the golden Andalusian sun. These moments were not just memories—they were emotions, etched deeply into my soul. Now, 20 years later, I find myself far from that southern Spanish light, living in the Netherlands, a land of gentle skies and serene landscapes. Yet, my heart still beats to the rhythm of Andalusia. My art is where these two worlds meet—a bridge between my past and my present. This piece is my love letter to Cadiz. The soft pinks and turquoise tones are not just colors; they are the sunsets I watched as a child, the vibrant feria dresses that twirled around me, the ocean that whispered its secrets to me. The fan is more than an accessory—it is a symbol of grace and pride, a nod to the women of my homeland who wear their beauty and strength with dignity. And the gold? It reflects the opulence of our history, the shimmer of hope, and the fire that still burns in my heart.Living far from home has taught me something profound: the places we leave never truly leave us. My art is my way of holding onto Cadiz, of sharing its beauty, its soul, and its essence with the world. Every detail, every ruffle, every sparkle carries meaning—it’s not just a design; it’s a piece of my heart.Through this work, I invite you to feel what I feel—to celebrate the joy, the nostalgia, the love for a place that shaped me. I hope it stirs something inside you, as creating it did for me. Because, in the end, art is not about what we see. It’s about what we feel.Thank you for allowing me to share my journey with you. Thank you for seeing not just my art, but the story it tells.
