My very last antique stop of the trip: Antiques Center of Yarmouth 🕰️📮

And because it was my last day… I may have bought quite a lot. 😂 My husband thought it was a little crazy, but honestly, there were SO many beautiful old postcards! ❤️

I didn’t have much time to look, which actually made choosing what to take home even harder.

And then I spotted a whole stack of vintage/antique Halloween postcards in a display case! 🎃👻 The prices were quite high, so I only admired them… although I really wish I had bought two of them. 😍

Definitely one of those places where I could have spent much more time browsing!

Another wonderful day of treasure hunting! ❤️

Today I visited Vermont Antique Mall, the largest antique mall in Vermont. With hundreds of dealers and over 20,000 square feet filled with antiques, collectibles and vintage treasures, it was one of those places where every aisle seemed to hold another surprise.

I came home with a beautiful collection of authentic antique postcards, including lovely Valentine, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Christmas and floral cards, all full of gorgeous artwork, embossing and rich vintage details. Every one of them has its own little piece of history.

One of my favorite finds is the framed vintage photograph of a young girl with her faithful Collie. It’s such a timeless image and instantly captured my heart.

Even my son found a special treasure: a Johnny Lightning Corvette C5 die-cast model of his favorite car. It’s always fun when we both leave an antique shop with something we’re excited about.

Now I can’t wait to scan these beautiful paper treasures and preserve them so they can inspire new creative projects while the originals continue to be appreciated for generations to come.

🇺🇸 Antique Paper Hunting in New York 🇺🇸

With only one full day to spend in Vermont, we passed several antique shops on our way to the beautiful and tourist-friendly town of Lake George, New York. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to explore them all, but I did manage a quick visit to Antiques Market Place, and I’m so glad I stopped.

This wonderful antique mall, filled with treasures from multiple dealers, turned out to be a delightful paper-hunting destination. I found several charming antique postcards, including St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthday greetings, along with a beautiful cabinet card portrait that immediately caught my eye.

Another wonderful stop on my New Hampshire antique adventure!

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Dragonflies Antiques in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, a charming little shop just beyond the village center near the lake.

One of the highlights of my visit was meeting Catherine, the owner. She was incredibly kind and helpful, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation about antiques and vintage treasures. When she learned about my love for old paper ephemera, she even brought out a box of antique postcards and scraps from the back of the shop for me to browse through.

I’m so glad she did!

Among my finds were two beautiful Victorian lady scraps, a charming nursery scrap featuring a dog in a bonnet, and a sweet baby scrap. These little pieces of ephemera have likely survived for more than 100 years, making them wonderful snapshots of the Victorian era.

I was also delighted to find a wonderful Christmas card and a truly unique photograph of Santa Claus with a child. The photo has been laminated at some point, so I’m hoping I can carefully remove the plastic layer without damaging it.

As a special surprise, Catherine gifted me the Christmas card, a gesture I truly appreciated.

Sometimes the best antique finds come with a story and a kind person behind them. Dragonflies Antiques was definitely one of those memorable stops on my New Hampshire antique adventure.

Today’s antique adventure brought me to Wolfeboro Antiques & Artisan Barn, a 50+ vendor group shop located in a charming 1765 dairy barn in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.

With two floors to explore, there was no shortage of antiques, collectibles, and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. I was especially excited to find a lovely selection of antique postcards, always one of my favorite things to hunt for.

A bathtub full of photographs… now that’s something you don’t see every day!

Today’s antique hunting took me through Gorham and Littleton, New Hampshire. Along the way we stopped at Marigold Antiques & Vintage and The Wandering Soul Antiques and Retro Finds. Both were charming shops filled with wonderful treasures. I didn’t buy anything, but I did spot a lovely Golden Book Christmas Story from 1966 and plenty of beautiful antiques to admire.

In Littleton, I visited Just J Modern Antiques and Purple Peacock. While both shops were fun to explore, my favorite discovery was at Just J Modern Antiques: an old white bathtub filled with stacks and stacks of vintage photographs! I completely forgot to take a picture of it, but I couldn’t resist digging through the pile. Hidden among the snapshots were a few much older real photo cards, and I was thrilled to rescue several of them for just 50¢ each (see photos).

Purple Peacock had a completely different feel, a large antique mall with over 75 dealers and a real flea market atmosphere. So much fun to browse!

Sometimes the best treasure isn’t what you’re looking for, it’s the unexpected find waiting at the bottom of a bathtub full of old photographs. 😊

Another day, another antique adventure!

Today’s treasure hunt took me from Ellsworth, Maine, to New Hampshire, with a wonderful stop along the way at Hobby Horse Antiques Marketplace in Searsport.

What an amazing antique store! Everywhere I looked there were treasures, and I was thrilled to find some really beautiful antique postcards to add to my collection.

The shop owner was so friendly, and we discovered we share the same name: Cindy! Encounters like that make these antique-hunting adventures even more memorable.
