Incredible sad to hear about the loss of Charlie, the lioness we saw during our stay in Honib in 2022 with Wilderness in Namibia, and one of the three sisters you can see in the stunning multiple Award winning film Lions of the Skeletoncoast.

Charlie had to be put down after she fatally attacked Mr. Bernd Kebbel who was camping in the Hoanib area with a little group. Of course we wish the family of Mr.Kebbel strength with this tremendous loss. He was a great supporter of wildlife and in particular of lions.

Our thoughts go out to all the victims and families of Myanmar that were hit by the heavy earthquake of last Friday. We visited Myanmar, and also Mandalay in 2013, when the boarders were open for a few years. It was a very special trip with kind people and sacred places. You can read our story here:

In 2013 zag het leven er in Myanmar anders uit dan nu: er was hoop. Nu wordt Myanmar opnieuw onderdrukt en blikken we met Flasback terug.
