The Netherlands-Japan Review 日本評論

The journal is dedicated to Japan in the broadest sense of the word. All aspects, from politics to art, from chanoyu to ninjutsu, from the Jōmon Period to the present Heisei Era, from prehistoric, classic, and pre-modern culture to the present day’s youth-culture, fall within the scope of the journal. Not much appears about Japan in the Dutch press, and much of what does appear, is based on prejud

ices, not grounded in solid research. It is intended for a general, but educated readership, and we assume that our readers will have a few general notions about Japan. The articles are written in such a way that they are accessible to all readers, but will not disappoint the specialist. They are not strictly scientific, but they are scientifically validated.
