Start of Paralympics Tokyo

Some projects take time....
It took me around 3 years of intense designing,
manufacturing and testing to develop complete new aero "upright" tandems as a convinced laid back cyclist :)
But satisfied with the results so far!

The tandem frames are 100% made in the Netherlands in collaboration with:
• van Beurden Technique Tilburg (autoclave carbon tube manufacturing)
• Sturm Machinery (CNC aluminium jig manufacturing)

The tandems will be used by Team.NL (Paralympic devision) on different disciplines like track racing, time trials and road race.

The following athletes will use the M5 carbon aero tandems:
•Vincent ter Schure/Timo Fransen
•Tristan Bangma/Patrick Bos
•Larissa Klaassen/Imke Brommer

Besides that the M5 2-Spoke wheels will also be widely used on these games.
Most well-known is multiple national-, European-, world- and Olympic champion Jetze Plat. Further on Tim de Vries and Mitch Valize.

Meanwhile the South Korean team has also decided to use the 2-Spoke wheels during these Tokyo Paralympic games

All of these athletes mentioned above are very serious medal candidates so lets wait and see!

Only small set back due to my current vacation location (Norway) is the fact that it will be hard to avoid the broad cast restrictions of NOS television...

After a lot of shaping, laminating and sanding now almost finished: the new carbon track tandemframe with integrated seat posts and rear wing bar for Team.NL
Drop-outs, chain- and seat stays are in house high pressed massive carbon wing sections.
