Meaning for Your Life and Calling
Rejection is Part of God’s Call

Not everyone will understand or support the calling God has placed on your life.

Some will doubt you, others may criticize you, and a few will oppose you outright (John 15:18).

Don’t Take Rejection Personally

When people reject your calling, they are ultimately rejecting the One who sent you — God (Luke 10:16).

Your worth and mission don’t depend on people’s approval but on God’s assignment.

Release and Move Forward

Shaking the dust off means letting go of the hurt, bitterness, and discouragement so it doesn’t cling to you.

God has other people, places, and opportunities where your gift will be welcomed and fruitful (Acts 18:6).

Focus on Those Who Receive You

Instead of staying stuck where you are not wanted, invest your time and energy where God has prepared hearts to listen (Matthew 10:14).

“I am done here; I take nothing from this place with me — not even its dust.”
Learning to shake it off, not to carry rejection, resentment, or spiritual contamination with you

Let me talk about forgiveness and reconciliation!

• “Forgiveness is something you must do; reconciliation is something you can choose to do — but only when it’s safe and healthy.”
• “You can forgive someone without restoring the relationship. Forgiveness is required. Reconciliation is conditional.”

Forgiveness is between you and God — it’s commanded for your spiritual freedom. Forgiveness is about you and your peace.

• Reconciliation is between you and the other person — it’s conditional and requires repentance, change, and safety.

You can forgive someone without restoring the relationship especially if your safety is the concern.

“When you carry anger, you carry the weight of someone else’s sin. You don’t need their apology to be free — forgiveness is the gift you give yourself with God’s help.”

Matthew 6:14–15 (NIV)

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Some things may seem appealing or feel right, but deep down, there’s no real peace. Many people miss out on true peace because they’re living outside of God’s will. Instead of following God’s Word or being led by His peace, they choose to follow their own desires or rely on what feels good or seems right to them.

Ask God for wisdom to discern situations and decisions, and if you don’t feel His peace, be willing to let it go.

Colossians: 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."
