Sorry if I’m in a bit of a mood. It happens when you get time reading and thinking...
Sometimes the mind wanders too far when it’s fed too much truth.

The question on my mind today is a dilemma.

Dostoevsky said:
“Perhaps it is better to suffer and know the truth than to be happy in a delusion.”

Kafka, on the other hand, suggests:
“I would rather keep my illusions, for they are often kinder than the truth.”

Two voices. One mind.

So what do you choose? Even if it means facing that you might be a monster?

And when I bring it back to my own field, we end up where cinema leaves us.
Scorsese closes Shutter Island with a question that lingers:

“Which would be worse: to live as a monster, or to die as a good man?”
