It's exciting to announce that colorist Bruno Ramos will be working with Reducations to bring you a Shortie: 2 full days where Bruno will introduce you to color science and grading. A must for anyone who wants to understand and manipulate the science behind those pretty pixels!
The Shortie will be on May 18th and 25th, 2021 in Ede (Netherlands).

Since Color Space started halfway through last year, our suite evolved from a professional broadcast grading set to a truly high-end, color accurate suite for extremely demanding workflows.

A Flanders screen for absolute certainty of color accuracy (their calibration is legendary), hardware scopes and a client OLED screen matched pixel-perfect to the Flanders with a calibration probe and LUT box.
All powered by a fully water-cooled 32-Core, RTX computer which we still haven’t managed to overload: so far, it was tested with 100 nodes of color correction (that’s insane!) on 8K RED RAW footage, with real-time playback without a sweat.

Yesterday we had the first (and very successful!) 8 hour workshop about color science in Utrecht. The listeners learned how light works, how video stores information, monitors, gamma, log video, SDR, HDR, LUTs... and then some more!

Are you sure your screen is telling you the truth? Even the best displays out there still need to be professionally calibrated before you can be sure you're seeing the right color, brightness and contrast. True calibration can take hours and requires a professional!

Subscriptions are open for our first workshop of 2020 (as consequence of the Coronavirus). Better late than never!

If you want to deepen your color knowledge, not just about grading, but concepts like SDR, HDR, LUTs, display technologies, Log and RAW footage etc... and also less technical aspects like color palettes and wardrobe choices for your productions: this is the place to be! There's a lot to be learned for every sort of film and video professional.

The workshop will be on August 15th, 2020 in Utrecht. Number of applicants is severely limited due to Corona restrictions, so be quick!
