So I’ve been testing the eufyMake E1 UV printer… and I’m seriously impressed.

Started with some small prints, but it was time to go bigger. I used Photoshop’s new AI tools to generate this solar system artwork, then brought it into eufyMake Studio and used the AI emboss feature to give it that raised effect.

Printed it on a 30×40 cm white acrylic sheet… and honestly, it already looks insane.
Quick laser cut for mounting holes, and this one’s ready to hang. Definitely getting a prime spot in the lab.

Unboxed the eufyMake UV Printer E1 Deluxe today and ran my first test prints. Setup and calibration were quick and straightforward, and the software + app integration feels solid right out of the box.

Started with two fridge magnets: the included Moon test file to check detail and gradients, and a scanned Multigroove flyer from Hemkade (’90s) to test fine text and image reproduction.

Print quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and adhesion looks great so far. Looking forward to pushing this further with more materials and use cases.

About yesterday ✨

PLNT Leiden hosted the second edition of the yearly Sera Business Design Dataduiker event — and I had the pleasure of playing another DJ set on our rooftop 🎧☀️

Lounge, Deep House, and slow Techno in the sun at MIDI bij PLNT ... honestly one of those sets you just don't want to end.

Can’t believe it’s been 3 years already! 🎉 Time really flies when you’re making cool things.
I’ve been hosting my lab at PLNT Leiden for three amazing years now, and we’ve done so much. From hands-on workshops and in-depth lessons to taking ideas from a raw sketch all the way to a finished print job, both big and small, we've done it all.

Our workspace has grown into something I'm really proud of. We now have a beautiful fleet of 3D printers (mostly Prusa Research 3D printers!), laser cutters, 3D scanners, a vacuum former, and even our own small filament extrusion line to run experiments. 🛠️🧬

But the best part has been the people. Collaborating with the start-ups at PLNT on some incredibly interesting projects has been a highlight, and it's awesome seeing some of them doing so well today. I’ve also had the privilege of helping students develop their products, which is a process I still enjoy so much. 💡

Big print job for PLNT Leiden coming up, and it needed some very specific colors.

Luckily, our friends at Polymaker had exactly what we needed in both their standard line and the gorgeous Panchroma range. Time to fire up the machines.
