Lieve vrienden,

Na 2.222 afleveringen stop ik vanavond met mijn dagelijkse ‘Aandeel’ in het Nederlands. Maar ik ben heel blij dat drie van de vijf Nederlandse stations waar de radioshow nu op zit, gelijktijdig met het Britse Radio Caroline de Engelse ‘Rob van Dijk-contribution’ op vrijdagavond gaan uitzenden. Ik denk een unicum zelfs.

Vanavond is de overgang: tussen 22 – 23 uur hoor je de laatste Nederlandse editie, aansluitend van 23 – 01 uur wordt de voertaal Engels. Dat is te horen op WaterlandRadio.nl, RadioCityFM.nu en GlassRock.nl, waar de show in juni 2016 begon. GlassRock staakt aanstaande zaterdagavond om middernacht helaas helemaal met uitzenden. Daarentegen haakt HollandsPalet.nl (die de show nu ’s avonds van 24 – 01 uur uitzendt) volgende week ook aan met de Engelse versie. Hofstad Radio stopt na vanavond met het ‘Aandeel.’

Heel veel dank aan alle stations voor de - in veel gevallen dus doorgaande – samenwerking. En dank aan jou voor het (blijven) luisteren!

Dear friends,

After 2.222 editions I’ll end my daily Rob van Dijk-contributions in Dutch. But the radio show will continue as a weekly broadcast in English on Friday evenings between 22 – 01 hrs Dutch Time, not only on British Radio Caroline, but also on three stations in the Netherlands. I think it's unique, even.

The transition is this evening: between 22 – 23 hrs is the last of the Dutch editions, subsequently from 11 p.m. - 1 a.m the language becomes English. You can tune in on WaterlandRadio.nl, RadioCityFM.nu and GlassRock.nl, where the show started in June 2016. Unfortunately GlassRock seizes it broadcasts this Saturday evening at midnight. On the other hand HollandsPalet.nl will join in next week with the English version. Hofstad Radio will stop airing the Rob van Dijk-contribution after tonight.

A big thanks to all the stations for the cooperation, which luckily will continue in most cases. And thank you for (keep) listening!

Dear listeners,

Glassrock started in June 2011 as an experiment with internet radio techniques by myself as a radio technician.
The music format was a mix of Classic rock, Britpop and new wave.
The website, the playlists, the automation and all other IT operations was a one man job.
Shortly after the experiment, the first employee signed up to make programs and work creatively with jingles etc., the late Davy Daily.
In 2016, more programmakers joined the station: Rob van Dijk, Hans van Houten, Frans Verweij.
Geoff Dorsett joined as syndicated radio program maker.
The station took on more shape and continuity.
It is now 2024 and 13 years later after the experiment, we will cease broadcast.
The employees are going their own way and for me it is time for a new challenge, something that also has to do with the medium of radio.
Saturday, August 17 will be the last broadcast day for GlassRock

Beste luisteraars,

In juni 2011 is Glassrock begonnen als een experiment met de technieken van internetradio door mijzelf as radiotechnieker.
Het muziekformat was een mix van Classic rock, britpop en new wave.
De website, de playlisten, de automatisering en alle andere ICT handelingen was een one man job.
Vrij snel na het geëxperimenteer melde de eerste medewerker zich om programma's te maken en creatief om te gaan met onder andere jingles, wijlen Davy Daily.
In 2016 kwamen er nog meer medewerkers bij op het station, Rob van Dijk, Hans van Houten, Frans Verweij.
Geoff Dorsett kwam erbij als syndicated radio programmamaker.
Het station kreeg meer vorm en continuïteit.
Inmiddels is het 2024 en 13 jaar verder na het experiment is het mooi geweest.
De medewerkers gaan hun eigen weg en is het voor mij tijd voor een nieuwe uitdaging, iets wat ook weer met het medium radio te maken heeft.
Zaterdag 17 Augustus zal de laatste uitzenddag zijn voor GlassRock

Luisteraars bedankt en het ga jullie goed.

Aan alle medewerkers het was geweldig om jullie in het team te hebben, we komen elkaar ongetwijfeld wel weer eens tegen, blijf gezond en al het beste.

Vanavond viert Rob van Dijk zijn 2.121ste 'Aandeel' met een special over de vroegere Britse zeezender Radio Caroline, dat afgelopen Paasweekend zijn 60ste verjaardag vierde.

Rob - zelf sinds anderhalf jaar een Caroline DJ - sprak in Harwich onder meer met zijn collega's Ray Clark en Martin Fisher en enkele fans. En kijkt met hen ook naar de toekomst van het station.

Rob's Aandeel hoor je dagelijks van 22 - 23 uur op Glassrock.nl. Tot vanavond!

This evening Rob van Dijk celebrates the 2.121st edition of his 'Contribution' on Glassrock with a special about former British Offshore Station Radio Caroline, which celebrated its 60th Anniversary last weekend.

Rob - also a Caroline DJ for 18 months now - talked in Harwich to his collegues Ray Clark and Martin Fisher and with a few fans. And takes a look into the future of the station with them as well.

You can tune in to the Rob van Dijk-contribution every evening on Glassrock.nl from 22 - 23 hrs CET (21 - 22 hrs UK time). Till tonight!

Vanwege internationale vrouwendag draait Rob van Dijk vanavond uitsluitend zangeressen en bands met een vrouwelijke leadzanger. Zoals Amy McDonald, Pretenders, Patti Smith Group, Hannah Wicklund en Joan Armatrading. Joni Mitchell's 'Hejira' is het lange nummer en in het live mini-concert hoor je Carole King en Sinéad O'Connor. Luister vanavond van 22 - 23 uur naar dit speciale Rob van Dijk Aandeel.

On this International Women's Day Rob van Dijk plays only female vocalists and female fronted bands. A.o. Amy McDonald, Pretendersm Patti Smith Group, Hannah Wicklund and Joan Armatrading. Vanavond viert Rob van Dijk de 2020ste editie van zijn dagelijkse 'Aandeel'. Rob begon in juni 2016 met zijn show op Glassrock en viert ieder 'dubbel' aantal (1818, 1919, etc.) met een muzikaal thema. Vanavond zijn dat getallen.

Denk aan nummers als '2,4 ,6 8 Motorway' van Tom Robinson, '39' van Queen, 1-2-5 van 10CC en 'One More Time' van Blink 182. Rob vertelt je hoe die nummers en groepsnamen ontstonden. Luister vanavond van 22 - 23 uur naar Glassrock.nl.

Tonight Rob van Dijk celebrates his 2.020th edition of his 'Contribution'. Rob started his daily show in June 2016 on Glassrock. Every 'double' digit (1.818, 1.919, etc) Rob chooses a musical theme, tonight there's a number in every song or bandname (or both).

Rob van Dijk presenteert 2000ste ‘Aandeel’

Op woensdagavond 25 oktober tussen 22 – 23 uur presenteert Rob van Dijk zijn 2000ste ‘Aandeel’ op Glassrock.nl. Daarom herhalen we de hele komende week na het ‘reguliere’ Aandeel vijf eerder uitgezonden specials. Onder andere die over radiotunes (ma), over ‘Unzipped’, de huidige tentoonstelling over de Rolling Stones in het Groninger Museum (di) en over het bezoek dat Rob en zijn radiomaatje Hans van Houten vorig jaar brachten aan het zendschip van Radio Caroline (wo).

Rob begon in juni 2016 met zijn dagelijkse avondprogramma met classic rock, Britpop en albumtracks op Glassrock. Vaste onderdelen zijn het live mini-concert, het extra lange nummer en tenminste één sixties-classic. Sinds eind 2018 is het Aandeel 6 dagen per week op meerdere stations te horen. Deze week kun je dus iedere avond twee uur lang ‘binge-luisteren’: van 22 – 23 uur naar het reguliere Aandeel en aansluitend van 23 – 24 uur naar de ‘special’. Onderstaand de programmering van de specials. Veel luisterplezier!

Rob van Dijk presents his 2000th 'Contribution'

This Wednesday October 25th between 22 – 23 hrs CET Rob van Dijk presents edition 2.000 of his ‘Contribution’. To celebrate this, Glassrock replays 5 specials Rob made earlier after his regular show. This Monday about radiotunes, this Tuesday about ‘Unzipped’, the current Rolling Stones-exposition in the Groninger Museum and this Wednesday about the trip he made to the Ross Revenge, Home of Radio Caroline.

Rob started his daily show with classic rock, Britpop and album tracks in June 2016 on Glassrock. In his standard line-up are a live mini-concert, the extra long track and at least one sixties-classic. Since the end of 2018 the Rob van Dijk-contribution is aired on several stations 6 days a week. This whole week you can listen two hours to his show, the regular ‘Contribution’ between 22 – 23 hrs, directly followed by a ‘special’. This is the schedule for the specials. Enjoy them!

Vanavond zendt Glassrock de 1.919e editie van het Rob van Dijk-aandeel uit. Ieder 'dubbel' getal (zoals ook 1.818, 1.717, etc) viert Rob met een thema, vanavond is dat 'Vrede'. Omdat de vrede na de Eerste Wereldoorlog in 1919 in Versailles werd getekend. Rob draait vanavond o.m. Fleetwood Mac (Peacekeeper), Crosby, Still & Nash (For What's it Worth), Taylor Swift (Peace) en uiteraard John Lennon (Imagine). Geniet vanavond van 10 - 11 uur CET.

Tonight Glassrock airs the 1.919th edition of the Rob van Dijk-contribution. Rob celebrates every double number (just as the 1.818 and 1.717) with an appropiate theme. Tonight it's 'Peace', because after World War I peace was signed in 1919 in Versailles. Rob plays a.o. Fleetwood Mac (Peace), CS&N (For What's it Worth), Taylor Swift (Peace) and John Lennon of course (Imagine). Tonight from 10 - 11 CET. Enjoy!

Met als lang nummer (11'34"min) 'Feel the Benefit' van 10 CC en the Who, John Lennon en Elton John in het live miniconcert. En veel klassiekers die Rob de afgelopen zes jaar in de voorgaande 1.634 edities heeft gedraaid, w.o Dusty Springfield en de Doobie Brothers. Veel luisterplezier, vanavond tussen 10 - 11 p.m.

Once again the Rob van Dijk-contribution has something to celebrate tonight: it's 6th birthday!
