It was such a pleasure helping Renee and Oscar, with their two children, to find a lovely family home in Bunnik - a small town bordering Utrecht.

After doing their check-in inspection for them some weeks prior, I was able to be at their front door, keys in hand to welcome them personally into their new home after the long flight over to the Netherlands.

One of the most humble and wonderful families I have ever assisted in helping them go From Searching to Settled.

Surviving Dutch Phone Calls

A few days ago, I came across a post from a fellow expat, and she made a great point about how the simplest tasks can often become the biggest frustrations when settling into a new life here. She’s spot on!

One of those “little things” that can make a huge difference is learning the Dutch spelling alphabet. It’ll help you confidently spell your name, your children’s names, surnames, or email addresses during phone calls — small but powerful steps that will help you feel more settled as you get started here in the Netherlands.

A beautiful couple and their beautiful new beginning.

Finding a pet-friendly rental in the Netherlands can be tough — especially when your dogs aren’t tiny! But when pets are family, there's no question: they need a home too. For this wonderful couple, it was non-negotiable — and with a tight timeline, we knew we had to act fast.

By exploring beyond the main hubs and looking at the surrounding towns, we discovered this gem: a spacious rental with a lovely garden, perfect for two beloved Border Collies to finally join their humans in the Netherlands.

It’s always extra special helping someone not just find a house — but a place that makes them feel whole again. Wishing Tiaan and Samantha the happiest memories ahead as they build their life here and settle in, tails wagging and all. 🐾

Dylan and Aleida were such a wonderful and calm couple to assist in securing their first rental home in the Netherlands - moving into their rental just 16 days after signing on with me.

The home they secured is right in the centre of their town, within walking distance of shops and restaurants, a nearby train station to be able to travel to work and explore Europe, a beautiful old church and the quirkiest café I've ever had a coffee in.
