Hyper Reality Records presents the 4-track EP “The Galaxy in Which We Live”, featuring 3 Nostic productions and a remix by DJ187. The concept behind this release was originally born in 2011, when early Trance and Dubstep versions of the project, and the recorded vocal, were first created. Both remained unfinished for nearly 15 years, until they were recently revived and completed by Nostic.
Built on the label’s signature energy of massive kicks, driving percussion, energetic synthwork, and acid-drenched atmospheres, this release expands the horizon into something both cosmic and deeply emotional.
The concept reaches far beyond the dancefloor: The Earth orbits the Sun together with eight other planets, forming our Solar System within the Milky Way Galaxy, one of countless galaxies in the Universe. From a faint band of light across the night sky, the EP reflects on how sound can mirror the vast structure of existence itself. From our perspective within the Galaxy, a complete view is impossible, yet sound becomes a way to imagine it.
The Trance Mix takes listeners on a journey into space, unfolding an evolving emotional melody that reflects the unknown depths of “The Galaxy in Which We Live.” With a more powerful, high-energy approach, the Hard Trance Mix pushes the intensity further for the harder floors. A fresh perspective on the core idea comes through in the DJ187 Remix, reworking the melody with piano and vocal elements into a more emotional direction. Closing things out, the Cinematic Dubstep Mix reveals a darker side, driven by distorted vocals and breakbeat energy, raw and uncompromising.
