Long Beach 1982: Gilles Villeneuve in the Ferrari finished 3rd but was later disqualified for using a curious rear wing which was declared illegal. The car was fitted with an unusual configuration of two thin rear wings, each individually as wide as the regulations allowed, but placed side-by-side and staggered fore and aft, making it effectively a single double-wide wing. This was done mainly as a deliberate exploitation of rule loopholes in retaliation for Williams' "water-cooled brakes"(this will be highlighted in an future post) exploit at the previous race in Brazil, and to send a political message to the governing body, which was part of the FISA-FOCA war.

During the FP3 of the 2010 Bahrain GP, Robert kubica felt something strange in his F1 car between his legs. It was a phone forgotten by an engineer. F1 drivers have a seat fitted for them so they can drive and perform on a high level while being comfortable and protected at 300+ km/h (180 mph). If a driver is sitting wrong or uncomfortable, they can lose up to half a second per lap or even their legs can become numb.

The Williams FW15C is a car designed by Adrian newey in 1993. The drivers that season were Alain Prost and Damon hill. It won 10 races and was an championship winning car.
The car was so dominant that Prost and hill often qualified with a marge of 1,5 - 2 seconds from the other teams.
The FW15C is considered to be one of the most technologically sophisticated Formula One car of all time, incorporating anti-lock brakes, traction control and active suspension. The FIA banned al these electronic driver aids for the next season.
