by Vaseeharan Creations Tamil april. Oslo, Norway.

Norges Tamil filmfestival er en feiring av globale tamilske filmer, bred publikumsfestival som foregår over fem dager fra 25. Festivalens hjerte skal være i Oslo og på Lørenskog hus, der "Tamiler Award" prisutdeling og konsert vil være høydepunktet, stedet der festivalteamet, gjester og andre filminteresserte møtes. Tamil Cinema has progressed considerably in the last two decades and competing wit

h World Cinema on quality of production and content. Tamil cinema today is a benchmark for several other film industries in India. To celebrate the progress of Tamil Cinema and to give an opportunity to see the latest films in theatres, we are happy to organize a festival under the name “Norway Tamil Film Festival 2011” in Norway. This will be an annual feature subject to the response of the Tamil people of Norway for this festival. We are planning to screen the following highly acclaimed Tamil films during the Festival between 20th April to 25th April 2011 at Filmenshus Kino , Lørenskog Kino, Triaden.

16th Norway Tamil Film Festival April 25 - April 27

Greetings to all creators living around the world. This time, you had to wait a little longer. However, we are very pleased to announce the carefully selected short films, feature films, documentaries, and music videos from the submissions we received, along with the winners.

It is gratifying to see that the creators who submitted their works have worked hard to achieve excellent technical growth, which adds satisfaction to our work.

It is not pleasing to see that the interest in producing short films has decreased, and many have directly started initiatives to produce feature films.

We extend our congratulations and thanks to all the artists who, through their creations, bring good messages and awareness to the Tamil community.

We are delighted to have received a documentary that emphasizes the necessity of works that raise voices against injustices happening in the Tamil community, and we are fully satisfied and pleased to recognize such works.

This year, under the special category for Tamil Nadu, we are awarding two more Tamil awards to honor and recognize the artists from Tamil Nadu.

We extend a big congratulation for all the winners

Welcome to the 16th Norway Tamil film festival

Norway Tamil film festival is proudly entering the 16th successful year an achievement of its own. I the festival Director stand at the peak of pride that directors, actors, technicians and all those who are connected to the cinema field had given us immense support during
the past 15 years. A big thank you to you all.

During these 16 years a number of directors actors and others have honoured our festival and had come to receive their awards. I could not name all of them because it is a long list.
This 16th year is a mile stone for the festival and we would like to welcome as many awardees as possible to come and receive your awards personally.

An award is a recognition for the person who receive that and after all you worked for such recognition. We would like to welcome old and new faces to come and enjoy the festival.

This year for the first time we decided to avoid most of the films that showed extreme violence although they were block busters, in order to bring out more films which are needed to a healthy society.
We also wanted to give recognition for young and growing artistes if not fully at least partly.
We selected films that are showing daily occurrences, simple house hold problems and social problems together with historic records to make awareness for the public.

With hard work and dedication we organized this festival.Your appreciation and support will be our reward.

உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இனிய ஏசு பெருமான் திருநாள் வாழ்த்துகள்.

எமது தாயகத்தில் [ஈழம்] வாழ்கின்ற படைப்பாளிகள் அனைவரும் பதிவு கட்டணம் ஏதுமின்றி உங்கள் திரைப்படங்களை நோர்வே தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட விழா குழுவுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கலாம்.

NTFF 2025 சர்வதேச மொழிகள் : -குறும்படங்கள் - முழு நீளப் படங்கள் – காணொளிகள் – ஆவணப் படங்கள் – அனிமேஷன் படங்கள்.

கடந்த பதினைந்து ஆண்டுகள் தமிழகத்தின் திரைத்துறைக் கலைஞர்களை, உலகத் திரைத்துறைக் கலைஞர்களை வாழ்த்தி, பாராட்டி, அங்கீகாரம் அளித்து, உலகத் தமிழர்களின் சிறந்த விருதாக "தமிழர் விருதுகள்" வழங்கப்பட்டு வருவதை நீங்கள் அறிந்திருப்பீர்கள்.

தமிழ்நாட்டில் இந்த ஆண்டு(2024) வெளியான திரைப்படங்களுக்கு "தமிழர் விருதுகள்" தமிழர் திருநாளாம் தைப்பொங்கல் நாளில் அடுத்த ஆண்டு அறிவிக்கப்படும்.

தமிழ்நாடு தவிர்ந்த ஏனைய நாடுகளில் வெளியாகும் குறும்படங்கள் – காணொளிகள்- முழுநீளத் திரைப்படங்களுக்கு தமிழர் விருதுகள் எதிர்வரும் 15.03.2025 அன்று அறிவிக்கப்படும்.

15 ஆண்டுகளாக உங்கள் அனைவருடைய இதயபூர்வமான ஆதரவும், ஒத்துழைப்பும் தான் நாங்கள் இத்தனை வருடங்களாக திரைப்பட விழாவை திறம்பட நடத்த பெரிய ஊக்கமாக இருந்தது. ஆகவே உங்கள் பேராதரவையும், பேரன்பையும் தொடர்ந்து எமக்கு வழங்குவீர்கள் என்று நம்புகின்றோம்.

NTFF Jury and Committee will evaluate your film and announce the result on 15.03.2025, the same will be published in NTFF webpage, follow us on Facebook for regular updates about NTFF 2025 event.

Our Story

Norges Tamil filmfestival er en feiring av globale tamilske filmer, bred publikumsfestival som foregår over fem dager fra 30. april. Festivalens hjerte skal være i Oslo og på Lillestrøm Kultursenter, der "Tamiler Award" prisutdeling og konsert vil være høydepunktet, stedet der festivalteamet, gjester og andre filminteresserte møtes. Tamil Cinema has progressed considerably in the last two decades and competing with World Cinema on quality of production and content. Tamil cinema today is a benchmark for several other film industries in India. To celebrate the progress of Tamil Cinema and to give an opportunity to see the latest films in theatres, we are happy to organize a festival under the name “Norway Tamil Film Festival 2020” in Norway. This will be an annual feature subject to the response of the Tamil people of Norway for this festival. We are planning to screen the following highly acclaimed Tamil films during the Festival between 30th April to 03rd May 2020 at Rommen Scene , Lillestrøm Kultursenter. Oslo, Norway.
