CH'AHOM - Camazotz Cult CD

German black/death cult Ch’ahom offer upon the altar of sacrifice their 2nd album ‘Anthropic Rites of Sublimation’, a concept album set in a fictional world inspired by the rituals, art and architecture of pre-Hispanic cultures. Continuing where their “Ts’ono’ot” EP ended, its story unfolds around a cenote of impossible dimensions whose cosmic call draws the lost and uncertain toward self-sacrifice. Four civilizations rise along its edge, each developing its own rites, hierarchies and monuments to transform the abyss’s fatal summons into a foundation for collective existence.

Ch’ahom gives this imagined world form through cavernous death metal, be***al eruptions and feverishly progressive structures. Savage riffing coils through suffocating chambers of rhythmic conjuration while ancient instrumentation emerges from the tumult like echoes inside a buried temple. ‘Anthropic ‘Rites of Sublimation’ moves like the cenote itself, drawing the listener inward through an ecstatic and ever-deepening sense of the unknown.

Inspired by a deliberately literal interpretation of the death drive and its sublimation, Ch’ahom explores culture as a response to an irresistible desire for self-erasure. Mutilation, vicarious sacrifice, enslavement and willing surrender become the foundations of competing societies awaiting the cenote’s periodic opening. Ch’ahom transforms this dark fiction into an immense ritual of sound, portraying humanity through its terrifying ingenuity: creating faith, beauty and entire civilizations upon the edge of annihilation.

AVRAK - Avrak LP/CD (Peaceville)

The 2026 debut studio album of heavy rock and metal, from Darkthrone’s Ted Skjellum new band.
This Norwegian heavy metal act was founded in 2023 by guitarists Anders Hegna and Ted Skjellum, one half of legendary duo Darkthrone. The pair had known each other for many years, and with a mutual passion for old, classic rock and metal.
Ted had declared from the beginning that he would in fact not carry out main vocal duties in the band, and so Anders - with his own voice befitting of the style - took on this task. Terje Kråbøl was brought in on drums and, from there-on, with his percussive presence backing up some thunderous riffing, the creative work accelerated until enough material was produced (and relentlessly refined), culminating in the self-titled, hook-laden and doom-laced rock debut, Avrak.

Recorded, mixed and mastered in Mølla Studio by Knut Magne Valle, in February 2026.

Avrak subsequently held its debut show in their local town of Porsgrunn in late April 2026, backed by the brand new bassist & final piece of the puzzle, Steinar Gundersen, with more live shows intended in future to support the release.

MEMORIAM - Endgame LP/CD (Reaper)

- Forest Green vinyl LP
- Green / grey / black crusher vinyl LP
- Picture disc vinyl LP
- Jewelcase CD
- Digipack CD

The Final Studio Album.
After ten years, six acclaimed studio albums, and countless performances around the globe, British death metal veterans MEMORIAM present “Endgame,” their sixth and final studio album.
Instead of gradually winding down, MEMORIAM have deliberately decided to end their career as a recording band on their own terms. This makes “Endgame” a true farewell and an essential release for all fans of the band.
Musically, the album brings together everything that has defined MEMORIAM since day one: heavy mid-tempo riffs, powerful grooves, a dark atmosphere, and profound lyrics that explore war, humanity, politics, and social conflicts. At the same time, “Endgame” reflects on the transience of life, a band’s legacy, and the conclusion of a significant chapter.
Once again, the impressive artwork is by legendary artist Dan Seagrave, continuing the visual identity that has accompanied every MEMORIAM release. Producer Russ Russell also returns to conclude a creative collaboration that has shaped the band’s last four studio albums. One last time, he delivers the powerful and unmistakable MEMORIAM sound.
A special highlight is the appearance of Dirk Verbeuren on drums. He infuses MEMORIAM’s final recording with new energy while seamlessly blending into the band’s established identity.
With an established international fan base, a strong reputation within the global death metal scene, and its unique significance as the band’s final studio album, “Endgame” is poised to become one of the most important releases in MEMORIAM’s history.
