The Chief Administrator was killed
It has been reported that Abebe Worku, the Chief Administrator of Sululta Woreda in the North Shewa Zone of the Oromia Regional State, was killed in a sudden attack by a militant group calling itself the Oromo Liberation Army.
The militant group carried out the attack today, February 5, 2017, at around 9:00 AM, and the head of the district security sector who was with the woreda administrator was abducted by the group.
When the Chief Administrator, the head of the security sector and several security forces arrived at the "Moye Gajo" area, where the militant group is said to be active, the militant group suddenly opened fire on them.
Sources said that the security forces, whose number could not be ascertained for the time being, were killed and many others were injured and admitted to the hospital.
In addition to the security chief, several security forces were abducted by the group
It is worth noting that Commander Legesse Seyoum, the district police chief, was also killed in a similar attack by the same armed group months ago.
The deceased Abebe was the head of the district's Prosperity Party office before being appointed as the district chief administrator two years ago.
