Mattima Films Independent Film Production Company Mattima Films is a culturally diverse full-scale production company based in Mo i Rana.

We produce and co- produce both long and short-form documentary and fiction films, with an emphasis on working with female filmmakers who are looking for a creatively open and exploratory space to tell their stories. What we look for in filmmakers is less about their background or education, but rather their creative vision and those who support our practice of collaboration across projects – a wo

INDIA'S 1ST BEST TRANS MODEL AGENCY

WORLD PREMIERE AT BFI FLARE🏳️‍🌈✨
We are really proud to announce the World Premiere for INDIA'S 1ST BEST TRANS MODEL AGENCY on home soil at UK's biggest LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, BFI Flare in London on March 22nd. This documentary is directed by Ila Mehrotra, produced by Edward Dallal for Spring Films and co-produced by Mattima Films! In Norway, color grade was done by Kim-Marius Olsen, sound design by Syncpoint and music composed by Harpreet Bansal & Kate Havnevik. Supported by Norsk filminstitutt, Nordnorsk Filmsenter, Kulturdirektoratet and Stiftelsen Fritt Ord.

Filmed over seven years, this documentary charts Rudrani Chettri’s creation of her company, with her natural charisma catapulting her to fame as a trans activist. While she strives to free hijra from the traditional confines of performing blessings, begging and survival s*x work, the film considers the schisms within the culture, the myriad religious roots, and colonial attempts at erasure.

A group of visionary hijra in Delhi form a modelling agency to bring the traditional third gender into the 21st century.

I 1995 ble verden nesten kastet ut i atomomkrig. Det hele startet på Andøya i Nordland. Finn ut hvorfor, og oppdag den skremmmende sannheten om at vi faktisk er nærmere en atomkatastrofe enn hva vi var under den kalde krigen. We produce and co-produce both long and short-form documentary and fiction films, and primarily (though not exclusively) work with women filmmakers who are looking for a creatively open space to tell their stories. Whether narrative fiction or non-fiction, experimental, or a doc-fiction hybrid, we aim to produce films that seek to challenge genre trappings, and transcend traditional forms. The team consists of Ane-Martha Tamnes Hansgaård (Founder/Owner), Øyvind Gregersen (Partner) and Andrew Grant (Partner).
