We supported Office of Press Registrar of Gandaki Province to organize our flagship 8-week "Data Driven Journalism Course" in Pokhara.

18 journalists of 11 districts completed the course and showcased their final project work to Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey, Chief Secretary of his office Krishna Prasad Lamsal, Press Registrar Bimala Bhandari and Gandaki chair of Federation of Nepali Journalists Ramesh Paudel.

CMR Nepal - Journalism Academy's trainers Umesh Shrestha, Chetana Kunwar and Arun Karki facilitated the blended-learning course.

"Data Driven Journalism & Fact-Checking for Climate Reporting course 2026"

Under UNESCO's Global Initiative for Information Integrity Initiative -support, we have launched an 8-week blended learning course for 12 Nepali journalists at CMR Nepal - Journalism Academy. The course will finish in June 2026.

The UNESCO Representative to Nepal, Jaco du Toit, visited the Academy and interacted with participants who have been engaged in learning foundational skills in data journalism and fact-checking, to apply them to their climate reporting.
