विश्व पर्वतारोहण इतिहासमा नयाँ कीर्तिमान र नेपालको नाम उच्च राख्ने साहसी पर्वतारोही Nimsdai Purja निर्मल पुर्जा लाई नमन।

मात्र ६ महिना ६ दिनमा विश्वका सबै ८,००० मिटरभन्दा अग्ला १४ वटा हिमाल सफल आरोहण गरेर 'प्रोजेक्ट पसिबल' मार्फत उनले असम्भव भन्ने कुरालाई गलत साबित गरे। त्यस्तै, विश्वको कठिनतम हिमाल मानिने केटु (K2) को पहिलो ऐतिहासिक हिडिङ (winter) आरोहणमा नेपाली टोलीको नेतृत्व गर्दै नेपालको झण्डा फहराउनुका साथै विश्वमञ्चमा नेपाली शेर्पा तथा पर्वतारोहीहरूको साहस र योगदानलाई नयाँ पहिचान दिलाए। गोर्खा सैनिक तथा विशेष बल (SBS) को आफ्नो कडा अनुशासन र अदम्य साहसले उनलाई विश्वभरका यूवाहरूका लागि एक प्रेरणाको स्रोत बनाएको छ।

आज Nimsdai Purja दाइ छैनन् तर मलाई लाग्छ । निम्स दाइको मृत्यु एक सम्मान जनक मृत्यु हो । यौटा साहसिले के चाहन्छ? बुढो भएर छटपटाएर मर्ने? हस्पिटलमा तारे तारले जोडिएर मर्ने? निम्स दाइ आफुलाई जिन्दगीमा जे मन पर्छ त्यहि गर्दा गर्दै मरे। हिमाल संग मरे।

उनी अब हामीमाझ भौतिक रूपमा छैनन्, तर जबसम्म यी सेता हिमालहरू उभिरहनेछन्, तबसम्म उनको नाम र यो गौरवशाली गाथा सधैं अमर रहनेछ।

सलूट छ तिम्रो यो साहसी जीवनलाई, निम्स दाइ! 🏔️🇳🇵
