Today has been one of the heaviest days for Kathmandu.
Our Mayor, B***ndra Shah (B***n), lost his beloved father Ram Narayan Shah this morning at Civil Hospital.

In his final moments with his father, B***n shared a deeply emotional message expressing his hope, prayers, and the pain of seeing a parent in critical condition. Despite being on the ventilator, he stood by his father, holding his hand until the very end — a moment no son ever forgets.

Dr. Ram Narayan Shah had been battling complications from diabetes and a severe infection for several days. Even in those difficult hours, B***n had been updating well-wishers, asking everyone for prayers and strength.

Today, he bid farewell to the man who raised him, guided him, and shaped the values he carries as a leader.

Let us take a moment to extend our condolences, strength, and prayers to Mayor B***n and the entire Shah family during this heartbreaking time.

May the departed soul rest in peace.
