Rekha Kandel has taken charge as the new Chief District Officer of Dolakha after being assigned to the district in the Home Ministry’s recent administrative reshuffle. Police personnel welcomed her at the District Administration Office with the traditional “pirke salami.”

The ceremony comes months after Home Minister Sudhan Gurung announced that he would not personally accept “pirke salami” during official programmes, calling for a simpler approach to such formalities.
