Nepal has announced a major shift in its foreign policy with the introduction of the "Nepal First:
Nepali First" strategy. The government says national interest, sovereignty, and territorial integrity will now be the top priority in all international dealings.
The policy also aims to transform Nepal from a passive buffer state into an active bridge between powerful neighbors, using balanced and non-aligned diplomacy.
Additionally, Nepali embassies abroad will now be evaluated through a scientific performance audit system, signaling a push for more accountability and results in foreign missions.
