Following the announcement of the closure of Hyatt Regency Hotel, Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed concern over the situation.

Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal direct talks with the hotel’s management on Saturday morning to assess the situation. He assured full government support for the hotel’s security and urged management to resume operations without fear.

“You don’t need to panic. Continue your services with confidence,” Minister Khanal said.

The hotel had suspended all operations indefinitely after sustaining damage during protests on September 8 and 9, citing the need for repairs and security concerns. It has also requested its employees not to report to work until further notice.

Government officials and hotel representatives are scheduled to meet again on Sunday to discuss possible steps forward.
