World Meditation Day 2025 to be observed in schools today.. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has instructed schools across Nepal to observe World Meditation Day 2025 on December 21. As per the notice, schools are requested to organize at least 15 minutes of meditation from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM, along with environment-friendly and suitable activities. ❤️

The theme for this year is “Meditation for World Peace and Harmony.” ✌️

No more “ओइ DV भरिस्?" … The U.S. has temporarily suspended the Diversity Visa (Green Card Lottery) program due to security concerns. Officials said the review is to make sure the program does not create risks for public safety. The DV Lottery usually gives up to 50,000 visas every year to people from countries with low U.S. immigration, including Nepal. 🙁

Scholarship Opportunities: According to the education cooperation agreement between China and Nepal, the Chinese government will allocate 33 scholarships to the Government of Nepal for the 2026/2027 academic year, including a maximum of four scholarships for undergraduate students and no more than three scholarships for medical undergraduate students. 😮

Survival of the fittest… Yang, an 18-year-old saleswoman in China, has been living in a small office restroom to save on rent and help support her brother’s education. Earning around 2,700 yuan (≈ NPR 51,000) per month, she couldn’t afford housing, so she reached an agreement with her employer to stay in the restroom for just 50 yuan (≈ NPR 950) a month. 😱
