एउटा गैंडा = ५० अर्ब ? 🦏 (Is one Rhino worth Npr50 Billion?)
We think nature is free. We are wrong. In Episode 2 of The Deep Talk, I sit down with Environmental Economist Prof. Rajesh Rai to put a literal price tag on Nepal's jungles, the Melamchi water supply, and that $55 Million Carbon deal.
The bank is coming to collect. Watch the full reality check here: 👉

What is the true price of the air you breathe? We think nature is "free," but it is the invisible backbone of Nepal's GDP. – Prof. Rajesh RaiIn Episode 2 of ...

"Hi everyone, I know we were scheduled to release our new podcast with Prof. Rajesh Rai today, but we need just a little more time behind the scenes to make sure it's perfect. We will be officially dropping the next episode of The Deep Talk with Dr. Deep tomorrow at 6 PM! Thank you so much for understanding - it will definitely be worth the short wait."

We’ve been lied to. Just because Nepal’s forests are growing doesn't mean we are safe.
धेरै नीति निर्माताहरूले वनलाई विकासको बाधक ठान्छन्. तर Prof. Rajesh Rai भन्नुहुन्छ– "प्रकृति नै अर्थतन्त्र हो।" -
Will the new PM B***n agree with Prof. Rajesh Rai?

From the classrooms of Europe and Australia to the weed-infested Nepalese forest:
I am excited to announce that we have just wrapped up the filming for the second episode of The Deep Talk!
For this deep dive, I had the incredible honor of sitting down with Professor Rajesh Rai from the Institute of Forestry, TU.
As someone who grew up in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park and pursued a career in veterinary medicine to solve global health challenges, this conversation felt like a full circle. We explored the critical intersections of forestry, wildlife, and the delicate balance of our ecosystems.
Professor Rai brings a wealth of knowledge that bridges the gap between academic research and the real-world environmental challenges and policy problems with his economic mindset.
Will keep you all posted for the full video.
Check out our 1st episode on YouTube; we talked about health, the pandemic, and food safety.
