“World AI Alliance Launched on AI Day(August 31st) Celebration in New York”
New York, USA , The World AI Alliance (WAA) marked a historic milestone on August 31 by celebrating AI Day and officially launching its global coalition through a high-profile online event hosted from New York. The program brought together government leaders, top AI scientists, entrepreneurs, advisors, and innovators from across the globe, under one unified mission: to ensure Artificial Intelligence remains ethical, inclusive, transparent, and universally accessible.
The event was chaired by Mr. Ujjwal Roy, President of the World AI Alliance and Founder of BoD World AI Alliance, joined by Mr. Suyog Parajuli, General Secretary of the World AI Alliance, and featured keynote addresses from Hon. Minister Prithvi S***a Gurung, Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT), Government of Nepal, along with Senior Advisor of World AI Alliance Dr. (Er.) Shaligram Parajuli ,IT Expert Advisor of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology ,Government of Nepal and the Senior global advisors and partners from leading institutions and companies.
President of WAA, Mr. Ujjwal Roy,In his opening address, Mr. Roy emphasized the global mission of the Alliance.“Artificial Intelligence is not just a technology — it is a transformative force for humanity,” he said.“The World AI Alliance will ensure that AI is open, safe, responsible, and accessible to all. This Alliance belongs not to one nation or one company, but to the entire human family.”
Chief Guest of the AI Day celebration and World AI Alliance Day Celebration Program , Hon. Minister Prithvi S***a Gurung, Minister of Communication & Information Technology,Government of Nepal highlighted Nepal’s bold AI vision and global collaboration opportunities.“The World AI Alliance is not only an organization but a global movement for peace, prosperity, and trust in the age of AI,” he said.“Nepal has become one of the first countries in South Asia to bring forward a comprehensive AI Policy. We are building data centers, expanding broadband to all 753 local governments, and preparing our youth to lead in LLMs, computer vision, and AI innovation.”He further invited global companies to partner with Nepal:“Come to Nepal. Open your offices, build with us. Nepal offers clean energy, natural cooling for AI data centers, tax incentives, and a digitally connected population. Within five years, Nepal aims to be among the top 50 AI nations in the world.”
Special Guest, AI Expert in Nepal Dr. (Er.) Shaligram Parajuli,Senior Advisor, Government of Nepal, Representing Nepal at the global stage, Dr.Shaligram Parajuli delivered a visionary message about the role of small nations in the AI era.“The future of small countries lies in the AI Era,” he stated.“Why can’t Nepali AI companies be among the top AI companies in the world? The answer is clear definitely, we will be. The paradigm has shifted. Opportunity is no longer limited by borders, size, or traditional power. It is defined by knowledge, innovation, and ethics.”Telecommunication , Cyber Security and AI Expert of Nepal Dr (Er) Shaligram Parajuli warned about the risks of unethical AI, stressing:“A person holding a weapon without ethics is dangerous. Similarly, AI without ethics is a great danger to humanity. Therefore, the World AI Alliance’s mission to promote ethical, transparent, and human-centered AI is essential not just for global stability, but for global prosperity.” Dr. (Er.) Shaligram Parajuli, Special Guest of AI Day Celebration (August 31) organized by the World AI Alliance, The AI Expert of Nepal Loud and clearly said I would like to Call for Ethical, Inclusive, and Human-Centric AI to all the world leaders for the proper guiding of future AI development.
Secretary General of World AI Alliance, AI Practitioner, AI Global Leader Mr. Suyog Parajuli, The Youngest Scientist of Nepal Awardees, underlined and Highlighted the Alliance’s mission of collaboration and ethical AI.“The World AI Alliance was born out of a profound belief: that Artificial Intelligence must serve humanity responsibly, ethically, and inclusively,” he noted.“We are entering what I call the Age of Symbiosis , where human intelligence and artificial intelligence work together to shape the destiny of civilization.”He concluded with a call for global unity:“AI is not about machines replacing humans. But we must also create global legal frameworks to prevent misuse, ensure accountability, and protect human rights in this age of rapid technological transformation.”Mr. Mark Jaffe, President of the NY Chamber of Commerce and Advisor to WAA, emphasized AI’s impact on entrepreneurship and business opportunities.“The World AI Alliance will be a catalyst for cross-border AI entrepreneurship.
