Introducing Yangkus – The Taste of Tradition with a Touch of Care

We are not your typical branded giant using preservatives.
We are not your average local vendor where hygiene is often overlooked.
We are Yangkus – a proudly family-owned business run by three generations of inspiring women, bridging the gap between brand and local with love, cleanliness, and quality.

At Yangkus, we believe momos should be tasty, clean, and made with heart.
That’s why our frozen momos come in four delicious flavors – Buff, Chicken, Pork, and Veg – and are available in Family Packs and Small Packs, perfect for any occasion.

✅ Clean & Hygienic Preparation

Acclaimed Photojournalist Pema Wangchen Lama to receive Lagansheel Yuwa Patrakar Puruskar 2025

The Lagansheel Yuwa Patrakar Puraskar 2025 instituted by Press Club of Sikkim will be awarded to acclaimed photojournalist Pema Wangchen Lama, whose work has left a distinct mark on Sikkim’s visual storytelling landscape. From the lush landscapes of Gangtok to the dynamic scenes of Bangalore, Wangchen has built a career on capturing the essence of life through his lens.

Wangchen gave up a job at a software localization firm in Bangalore to return to his roots in Sikkim and pursue photography full-time. His work ranging from events, fashion, culinary shoots, and government documentation has been featured in both local and national publications. His compelling coverage of the recent Sikkim floods earned international recognition, with his photographs published by Reuters, BBC, CNN, and the Japan Times.

In 2016–17, he was awarded the Ram Patro Memorial Award for Best Working Journalist by Sikkim Express and Himali Bela. A self-taught professional, Wangchen is also the creative mind behind community art installations such as the Moon Monument at Ridge Park and the Heart Monument at the Wellness Park, underscoring his multifaceted contribution to public life and culture.

Happy Saka Dawa!

Today, we celebrate Saka Dawa, the holiest day in Tibetan Buddhism — marking the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of Lord Buddha.

Let’s take this sacred time to reflect on compassion, kindness, and wisdom. May your prayers and good deeds be multiplied a hundred thousand times.
