The titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum) also known as the Co**se flower. This hasn't opened as of yet and the last one to open Christchurch Botanic Gardens Te Māra Huaota o Waipapa opened back in 2020 I believe. They flower every 3 to 5 years and the smell is said to be like rotting flesh ... Nose peg anyone?
Quite interesting and I hope I make it back to see it flower as it has a short span of 24/36 hours of this process

A Little bit about me

Hi , my name is Pamela and I decided a while back to start a photography page .I was born in Invercargill but moved away in my early teenage years ,I have lived in a few places The west coast of the south Island , Nelson and Blenheim and have also lived in Melbourne Australia and Brisbane before returning back to Blenheim and now recently moved to Christchurch .I am always out and about taking photos of many different things which led me to make a page and give photography a go . I am very passionate about what I do and believe that art no matter what form should be accessible to everybody be it music , photography , writing etc , I have seen some amazing street art here in Christchurch and absolutely love New Brighton I also love going camping and road trips , I have seen some beautiful sights right here in our own backyard of New Zealand including Lake Tekapo which I do hope to do another trip in winter and hopefully also further down south .I love to share my photos and I hope people enjoy my page .Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions or wish to order a photo .
