Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Still feels surreal to write that.

When the previous Avatar film wrapped up filming, NOIR had only just come into existence (2021). I remember watching the film and feeling the weight of being SO CLOSE to the moment; wishing the agency had begun just a little earlier, wondering if I’d missed the chance to ever have talent involved in one of the most monumental film franchises in the world!!

Now, a couple of years later; I'm proud to share that our NOIR talent in Pōneke stepped straight into Pandora and it's beyond words. It’s a reminder that nothing is missed; it’s built, earned and timed exactly as it should be.

To close out 2025 with NOIR being a part of a film of this scale is deeply humbling. Five years of belief, resilience and quiet work led here and this is only the beginning.

Most people only ever see the final result; the glossy campaign, the runway moment, the movie trailer. They don’t see all the work that happens long before sunrise. They don’t see the hours an agency works behind the scenes; the dedication, the preparation, the unseen labour that holds this industry together.

This shoot is a tribute to our talent who show up early, stay late and bring their full energy to every opportunity; to all creatives and dream chasers working through blurry eyes and sometimes, blurry lenses.

Time Bandits (2025) marks another moment worth celebrating for our Pōneke talent as they continue to thriving screen. Representation in film and TV here in Aotearoa and globally matters deeply, not just for visibility; but for the sense of belonging it creates for communities who are so often underrepresented.

Our talent continue to make us proud and Wolf Man (2025), filmed in Pōneke, is a beautiful example of that. Our actor Anne stepped into a featured role as one of Charlotte’s work friends; with Charlotte played by Julia Garner — marking a major milestone in Anne's journey.

Across both Tamaki Makaurau and Pōneke, our talent have been quietly putting in the work on major film projects over the last two years and seeing these moments finally come to life is incredibly special. There’s so much more ahead for our people and we can’t wait to share what’s next.

Stepping onto an international set is always special and our actors and background talent were proud to be part of Beyond Goodbye, a series filmed right here in Aotearoa and directed by Hiroshi Kurosaki.

Rob Ah Chee shared how inspiring it was to witness a full Japanese production in action the precision, the focus and the incredible coordination of over 300 extras on set.

Spartacus: House of Ashur drops this December and we’re so proud to have our talent involved in the action.

Our actor Josh who portrayed an Elite Roman in the series has truly lived many lives on set since joining our agency.

Josh summed it up best: filming Spartacus felt “like a Summer camp where everyone wore togas. We didn't need much encouragement to cheer watching the incredible stunts performed inside the arena - You don't get experiences like that in an office! Not a typical one anyway."
