Really enjoyed our -Loveray- Monday rehearsal 21Jul2025, just the trio Rayna Love, Willie Cottle and Jacksen Toomz... we got quite dark and heavy and also light and fruity, my first time on the drumkit in what feels like about a year, and best of all we started kicking some Drum & Bass around hard out. sooooooo excited.

Its the raw bootleg recording in the practice room, Ill edit this up a bit soon and re upload (i delete the in between song banter and the recording device was overloaded and harsh which i can correct a bit) but it takes time and this is predominantly for the band to hear back what we created in the moment, because we get so in the zone, like being on another planet with rockets on full thrust and no compas....

anyway - hope you enjoy....

-Loveray- had a focused rehearsal for a change on Monday - we actually practiced 3 songs, rather than just improvising 13 new ones in a night instead of working on any particular song. (Actually, we did improvise several jams after rehearsing these 3, but we did roll up our sleeves first and we well deserved a reward for the intense focus we achieved.
We did this in prep for our first recording session with SAE Auckland students at Big Fan the next night.
I'm super stoked with the potential we have touched on in this recording session, these are some of the best songs I've heard myself play and sing, and I'm just soooo STOKED with Jacksen Toomz bass ideas on these, they are MAGNIFICENT and such a pleasure to play with the rock solid timing and ideas flowing between Abeln and myself - so tight and funky at times. Thanks to Willie Cottle and Jeff adding the tweaks and sizzle, and Vinny Eastwood on quirky BVs.
