โจ Restoration in full motion โจ
Our Ngatu Restoration work has begun at the KOLOA HUB, and today marked an important first step.
Weโre proud of the Tongan Elders and Youngans who showed up, rain and all, to restore, share their knowdge of . This is living culture, active and shared across generations.
We were honoured to host our Fefine Toโa MaungakiekieโTฤmaki Local Board members, Maria Meredith and Diana Fuka, and we give deep thanks to Elder and Deacon Frances Hafoka, a respected champion for women, culture, and faith. These women continue to uplift womenโs voices where it matters whilst strengthening solidarity.
This kaupapa is powered by community to community connection. Our trusted champions ensure this work reaches the true custodians, those who hold ancestral knowledge with mana, care, and responsibility. The KOLOA HUB exists to champion them and the knowledge they protect through integrity, trust and safety.
Working alongside Ngatu practitioners allows hands-on learning, intergenerational exchange, and the safeguarding of Indigenous womenโs knowledge, as lived practice.
We are honoured to be guided today by our Ngatu specialists Ana and Naitinkeili, from villages in Tonga where women-led Ngatu collectives remain active and respected. They are trusted experts at the hyper level of community and now our kaumatua for Tapa Talanoa Collective.
Legacy. Leadership. Living culture.
This is the work. IYKYK ๐บ
